Lewis Capaldi Breaks Silence On Taylor Swift Feud Rumours After *That* Viral Interview
Lewis Capaldi has addressed speculation he’s currently beefing with Taylor Swift following a rather awkward moment on The Graham Norton Show.

ICYMI, the pair appeared on the UK chat show in October to promote their respective music projects — Taylor’s album The Life of a Showgirl and Lewis’ single “Something In The Heavens”.
Lewis gave a live performance of the song, which Taylor described as “beautiful” and “stunning”. Things then took an uncomfortable turn when Graham asked if it was from an upcoming EP.
“Uh, yeah, I was told I wasn’t allowed to talk about it,” Lewis said.
While the audience erupted into laughter, Graham and his panel of guests appeared shocked by the statement.
“By who?” Taylor asked.
“What? Am I?” Lewis said as he looked behind him for approval. “Fuck it, yeah, the EP is coming out. I’ll just tell you, it’s called Survive and it’s coming out later in the year.”
A clip of the moment then went viral on TikTok when user @sweetandsaltylin speculated it was Taylor’s team who told Lewis not to promote his upcoming EP.
She also claimed that Taylor thanked Graham in the clip. However, she actually said “jinx” after she and Graham both described Lewis’ news as “fantastic”.

Now, even if you aren’t the biggest Swiftie, the idea of Taylor blocking another artist from promoting their yet-to-be-released project is pretty ridiculous.
Yes, she’s the world’s biggest pop star, but she’s also historically championed other artists’ releases by posting on social media or inviting them to perform with her on tour.
Lewis has now come to her defence and set the record straight during an interview on The Kyle And Jackie O Show on Thursday morning.
“That’s hogwash,” he said. “I saw a TikTok about that and it’s a woman going like, ‘Taylor did this and she’s evil’ and this and that. And I’m going like, that’s completely made up.”
The Scottish singer explained that it was actually his own label that told him not to mention his EP and had nothing to do with Taylor.
“Basically, my EP hadn’t been announced yet. So I was told by my label, ‘Don’t tell people before you go on’,” he continued. “But not like a, ‘You can’t tell people’. It was like, ‘It’s not been announced yet, so don’t tell people’.
“But that was complete bullshit.”
Well, now that’s sorted, let’s hope Taylor and Charli xcx can work out their rumoured beef on the remix.
