Liam Gallagher has lashed out at one of the attendees of his Oasis concert in Melbourne on Friday night, after two flares were launched in Marvel stadium on the first Australian stop of the band’s reunion tour.

The two flares were lit and thrown above the packed audience about halfway through Oasis’ performance of their 1996 track “Champagne Supernova”, flying through the stadium before landing, still aflame, amongst closeby concert-goers shortly after.
While Liam — who forms one-half of Oasis alongside his brother, Noel Gallagher — initially performed through the disruption and reportedly wagged his finger while saying, “naughty, naughty”, he later took to social media to slam the fan who lit the flare.
“To the massive CUNT who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne you are one seriously fucked up individual and you will get yours trust me,” Liam wrote on X earlier today.
Liam’s message was met with support among followers and attendees, who described the incident as “sheer stupidity” and a “disaster”.
While the identity of the flare-thrower is not yet known, footage from the concert shows a man passing a burning flare to another person who then launches it overhead.
A spokesperson for Marvel Stadium told The Age that the flare had gotten into the venue despite its bag check practices, which will remain in place for Oasis’ second gig in the stadium slated for tonight.
“Security acted quickly, but the patron involved in throwing the flare wasn’t found. Thankfully no one was injured,” the spokesperson said.
Victoria Police, meanwhile, said no arrests were made and that the incident was not reported to them by the stadium.
After a third show in Melbourne on Tuesday, Oasis will wrap up their Aussie jaunt with back-to-back dates at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on November 7 and November 8.
