Lola Young Shares Update 3 Months After Announcing Hiatus

“Messy” songstress Lola Young has shared a sweet update with fans three months after she stepped back from the spotlight following an on-stage fall.

On Sunday (local time), the viral singer shared a message across her social media platforms, thanking her fans for their patience and the space they’ve given her to rest and recover.

“I just wanted to express gratitude to everyone who has given me time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place,” Young wrote.

“I’ve felt so much love and support from you all, and it has helped more than you will ever know.”

While she didn’t provide an exact comeback date, Young went on to say that she’s hoping to “gradually” return to the stage and to continue “pursuing [her] dreams”.

“Happy holidays to you all and can’t wait to see you in 2026,” she continued.

“Life is a journey, nothing is perfect but today I am doing well.”

Alongside the update, PEOPLE also reported that Young was spotted at Lily Allen‘s Christmas Party alongside Olivia Rodrigo, donning a cvnty AF leather set.

The sighting and message comes three months after the “Conceited” singer collapsed on stage during New York’s All Things Go music festival in September.

Following the incident, Young went on to cancel her set at the Washington DC leg of the same festival, before announcing that she was taking a hiatus from performing altogether.

“I’m going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future. Thank you for all the love and support. I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know,” Young penned in a post shared on October 1, 2025.

“Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund,” she continued.

“I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger. Love you all, Lola x.”

Days after she announced her hiatus, Young’s legal team confirmed to BBC that she was pursuing legal action against “Messy” co-producer Carter Lang in response to his claims that he deserves songwriting credits on four of her songs.

“It is with immense disappointment, especially given recent events, that we have no choice but to respond to recent writing credit claims from Carter Lang on four Lola Young songs by issuing legal proceedings on her behalf,” Young’s lawyers told the publication.

“Carter’s claims are strongly refuted and we will not allow Lola’s reputation and integrity to be called into question – particularly so long after the sessions took place and agreements were put in place.”

Per PEOPLE, the legal action between Young and Lang has been “resolved”.

“It has been agreed that the proceedings brought against Carter Lang by Lola Young, and Sony Music Publishing are resolved,” a representative for Young told the publication.

Just like her October post, Young’s recent update has been flooded with well-wishes and support from her fellow muso peers and fans, with many expressing their love for the viral singer.

But as we wait for her iconic comeback, we will be putting I’m Only F**king Myself on repeat.
