Look away Sea Eagles fans! Halfback Daly Cherry-Evans officially unveiled as a Roosters player

Manly Sea Eagles legend Daly Cherry-Evans has officially been unveiled as a Sydney Roosters player, with the club releasing its home jersey for the 2026 NRL season.
The 36-year-old officially signed with his new club less than two weeks ago after months of speculation that he’d be heading to Bondi.
It followed his declaration that he would leave Manly at the end of the 2025 season back in March.
Cherry-Evans fronted up with Roosters captain James Tedesco in a media appearance on Thursday, leaving the rugby league world buzzing.
The Roosters’ new home kit is the first NRL jersey designed by Adidas, which features navy blue shorts instead of their traditional white, to match those worn by the NRLW side.
‘Tri-colours. Three Stripes’, the post published by the Roosters and Adidas Australia read on Instagram.
The kit has been well received by NRL fans, who have taken to social media to voice their approval.

‘Great, now I can’t concentrate at work for the rest of my Thursday’, one person commented.
‘I’m a Parra fan but that’s the jersey of 2026 right there’, another user added.
The Roosters’ recruit shocked fans when he quit the Sea Eagles – and his departure after 252 games has been a bitter pill to swallow for supporters.
‘DCE’ won’t have to wait long to face his former club, with the Tricolours set to meet the Sea Eagles in round four next season.
The reveal comes on the same day captain James Tedesco committed to the glamour club for a further two years.
Tedesco, a dual premiership winner, will remain at the Roosters to the end of 2027.
The former NSW Blues’ captain’s contract ensures he’ll play at least 10 seasons under coach Trent Robinson.
He has played 186 games after joining them in 2018.

Cherry-Evans’ move to Bondi has been controversial since rumours first began circulating
The pair have faced off in club matches and also previous Origin series – with both now former captains of their respective states
The Roosters face the Warriors at Go Media Stadium in Round One next year, while Manly takes on Canberra at Brookvale Oval.
Cherry-Evans and Tedesco last played on the same side for Australia in the 2023 Pacific Championships, with the Kangaroos losing to New Zealand in the tournament final.
Come 2026, the pair will attempt to bring the NRL premiership back to Bondi for the first time in six years.
