Luke Bateman’s Bachie Ex Ellie Rolfe Pens Scathing Post After Seeing Him On I’m A Celeb
Luke Bateman’s The Bachelors ex Ellie Rolfe has taken to social media to slam the star during his appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
ICYMI, Rolfe won Bateman’s heart during their stint on the 2023 season of The Bachelors, but the pair parted ways just four months after the finale.
Flash-forward to this year and Bateman — a former NRL player-turned-BookTok star — has entered the I’m A Celeb jungle, but not without some choice words from his TV ex.
“First, I mean are any of them really celebrities?” Rolfe wrote on her Instagram Stories when reacting to Bateman’s casting. “It is a little triggering who they give airtime to, but I know by now entertainment value will always outweigh red flags.”
Rolfe went on to urge followers to not “believe everything you see on TV” because “people can curate a whole identity for their personal gain/ego”.
“You don’t know anyone until you’ve been in some sort of relationship with them. Even then you don’t know someone … Don’t put people in the media on a pedestal,” Rolfe wrote.
The reality star’s pointed message came ahead of her appearance on the Seriously podcast, where she doubled-down on the sentiment and claimed Bateman “love-bombed” her during their relationship.
“I wasn’t aware of it at the time, because I was caught up in that fairytale world, and I’m a sucker for that,” she told host Annaliese Gann.
“First date – boom: ‘I’m going to marry you,’ and it only got more intense from there,” Rolfe claimed.
Later in the podcast, Rolfe said their romance fizzled after The Bachelors had wrapped, when the “fairytale version” disappeared and she started noticing “some traits that were quite alarming”.

Bateman confirmed his split from Rolfe in March, 2024, telling Yahoo Lifestyle they had “separated and would like to keep our relationship private”.
“Ellie has a soul that lights up every room she walks into and I will sorely miss it in my life,” Bateman said at the time.
It comes smackbang in the middle of Bateman’s current stint on I’m A Celeb, where he is one of multiple stars enduring the wilderness for the show’s 12th season.
Bateman was cast at the height of his BookTok stardom, which itself was a source of controversy when he copped backlash after scoring a book deal last May.
In her original Instagram Stories post, Rolfe said she “may open up more” about her thoughts in the future, so we’ll be waiting with Bate(d)man breath — all while he eats bugs and avoids catching strays from Cyrelle Paule.
