MAFS’ David Reveals Unseen Moments From Final Test

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 has truly been shaken up with the return of the Final Test. However, runaway groom David Momoh has revealed what didn’t make it into the final edit, and his claims are quite explosive.

After sending viewers into a tizzy last year, the MAFS experts decided to shake things up once again by revamping the Final Test.

For folks who’ve yet to feast their eyes on this trust task, the Final Test allows our remaining participants to meet their “alternative matches”.

While last year, the participants were given the opportunity to choose whether to meet or ditch, this year’s brides and grooms were separated and forced onto a group date to meet their potential suitors.

Minutes into this year’s Final Test shebang, both David and Scott McCristal decided to ditch the date and hide in the bathrooms, citing respect for their partners despite both grooms navigating rough patches in their relationship.

Their decision to ditch garnered mixed reactions online, with viewers split on whether it was respectful or rude to refuse to partake in the task.

Others also pointed out how awkward (and comical) it was that the pair seemed to have spent an hour in the toilet to avoid the test of temptation.

What really happened to David Momoh during the Married At First Sight 2026 Final Test?

In a mammoth tea spill to PEDESTRIAN.TV, David revealed that he actually spoke with his potential match, Crystal Diaz, for about four minutes before he shut her down.

So, why did David leave? Because, according to him, Crystal started flirting. However, he says the flirty interaction was cut from the final edit.

“I mean, my response is, the experts gave us a task, and I read the task, and it said you should explore whether the grass is greener. You didn’t say, go have a sit down with some girls and get some feedback on your relationship,” David said, explaining why he abruptly left the task.

“I felt like I showed courtesy. I said hi. And actually, there was a bit of editing done that did include footage of her sort of flirting a little bit. And that’s when I stood up and showed my ring.”

Although viewers have speculated that David and Scott stayed in the toot for an hour, avoiding their matches, the 31-year-old e-commerce manager insists they were only there for about 20 minutes before leaving.

But in a scandalous twist, David claimed that both Crystal and Laura Bellini (Scott’s potential match) followed them to the bathroom, even though it appeared that the duo stayed at the lunch table with the remaining grooms.

“Actually, Crystal and Laura both followed us into the bathroom or the bathroom area. And then they were making rude comments,” David claimed.

“[It] actually made me think, I made a good decision not associating with Crystal because both of them made some comments [while] sitting on the floor. I don’t, I can’t remember. I don’t want to say things, but they were dissing us. They were dissing Scott and me to our faces, essentially making a mockery [of us].”

David went on to add that Crystal followed them outside — when they eventually left the toilet — and claimed that she cried during their interaction.

“Crystal followed me there again, to the outside area, and I said, Okay, I’ll have to entertain a chat with her. And then she fully started crying,” David claimed.

“It was just getting too much. She was full crying and wanting to speak to me, so the producers pulled her aside to just calm her and have a chat to her. And then that’s when the thing sort of wrapped up.”

In an event that feels like a sign from the universe, David revealed that he bumped into Crystal in Brisbane and that she actually apologised for what unfolded at the Final Test.

“She’s cool, and there’s all mutual respect. She was actually just very apologetic as well. I don’t think she’s a bad person,” David told P.TV.

“It’s just, I was doing what I would do in the real world. If a girl was flirting with me, or a girl that was potentially interested in me, and I was in a relationship, I wouldn’t flirt.”

For folks who watched what unfolded at the Final Test, you would know that this wasn’t the same case for David’s partner, Alissa Fay, who decided to stay for the group date.

During the bride’s Final Test, all the women stayed, and fans weren’t too happy with the fact that Alissa was bagging on David to her alternative match, Conor Loughnan.

In tonight’s episode, fans will get to see the fallout from the Final Test, with David expected to clock what Alissa said at the date… it’s gonna be buckwild.
