There’s no doubt that Sam and Chris have had quite the tumultuous week. For the first time since joining the experiment, Sam and Chris had their first argument stemming from the last Commitment Ceremony, where Chris said he would have Sam and him live in Sydney between his property and the farm.
However, as the days went by, we soon discovered that Sam wasn’t too happy with Chris’ answer, as he hadn’t been considered or looped in on his future plans. Filip Gregov encouraged Sam to discuss his feelings with Chris, but instead of a resolution, the pair’s discussion turned into an argument, with Sam admitting that Chris’ apology didn’t feel sincere.
Since then, the pair had been butting heads with their bitterness reaching the boiling point at the latest Dinner Party, with Sam hoping he could get some more clarity with the group present regarding Chris’ behaviour.
When it was time for the duo to hit the Ouch Couch, Chris admitted he felt blindsided by Sam’s actions, and Sam explained that he brought it to the group because he felt like Chris was refusing to listen to him in private.
But things got extremely emotional when it was time to share their decisions. Chris was the first to reveal his card, which he unsurprisingly wrote “leave”. Chris’ decision shocks Sam.
You see, Sam was ready to take on the Experts’ feedback and give their relationship his all. However, the fact that Chris was ready to leave and give up over a few bad days made him upset.

With this in mind, it didn’t come as a surprise when Sam revealed he’d written: “Stay”. As a result, the duo are slated for one more week of MAFS.

With Sam wanting to fight for his relationship and Chris wanting to leave, many fans sided with Sam and slammed Chris for wanting the easy way out.
Although he’s an intruder, it appears that Sam has grown to become a fan favourite. As for Chris? Uh… It’s a different story.
