Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 bride Gia Fleur has split from her experiment husband, Scott McCristal, confirming she is “so in love” with another ex-reality star — Love Triangle‘s Alan Wallace.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Gia said she can no longer “keep pretending” she’s with Scott when she’s in a relationship with someone else — which is respectful to Alan but spoiler-y for everyone else. “I can’t keep pretending I’m with Scott when I’m so in love with Alan,” she said.
Alan also confirmed the news, saying that the pair are officially boyfriend and girlfriend. They were papped by Woman’s Day late last month, with sources telling the publication that the pair have been together since late last year and are now living under the same roof.
It is also reported that Gia and Alan were introduced through a mutual friend, which checks out, given their links to one another and the reality TV world.
Who is Alan Wallace?
Alan was a contestant on Season 2 of Love Triangle, a dating show on Stan which is produced by the same team as MAFS. I will personally never forget him because he texted this to another contestant in the pursuit of real and everlasting love:
Alan is an ex-semi-professional AFL player and, at least at the time of going on Love Triangle, is an electrician.
He has been regularly photographed since his time on Love Triangle hanging out with the MAFS (and general influencer) crowds, including one time he was spotted cosying up with ex-MAFS bride Alyssa Barmonde. Alan reportedly even dated Scott’s ex-girlfriend, Abby — the same ex that Gia found photos of in Scott’s phone during an episode of MAFS.
Is your head falling off yet? Mine too! I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again — we need a MAFS spinoff so we can at least see all these reality TV crossover hookups at a (PG) televised level.
What happens with Gia and Scott on MAFS?
While Gia and Scott have appeared to be one of the stronger couples this season (the bar is low), their relationship has been up and down, and last week we even witnessed Gia walk out on the experiment over an old photo of Scott’s ex-girlfriend in his phone.
But with “air-time” antics flying left, right and centre on shows like this, there did still feel like there was a chance these two could end up together — we did, however, get a seed of doubt when Gia told PEDESTRIAN.TV that she’s no longer watching MAFS episodes.
Domenica Calarco also shared on TikTok that Gia and Scott “don’t even last the whole course of the experiment”, following a phone call she says was from Gia herself. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how that unfolds. Is another walkout on the cards?
Anyway, I’m happy Gia’s found love after going on a show to do exactly that.
