Married At First Sight‘s Julia Vogl has officially confirmed she is in a new relationship following her time on the experiment with MAFS husband Grayson McIvor.
Speaking to Laura Byrne, Jules Lund and Brittany Hockley on Stan’s MAFS: After The Dinner Party show, Julia confirmed that she has moved on with a female music teacher since leaving MAFS.
“I have a partner. Two months after the experiment finished, I went to do a singing lesson with this particular woman — it’s a woman,” Julia confirmed. “I realised I didn’t really want her to be my teacher and we’ve been seeing each other since then.”
Grayson, who was also on the couch alongside Julia, confirmed that despite any rumours, he is not currently seeing anyone. “I’m open to it,” he shared, noting that he’s hopeful for it one day.
Julia and Grayson hit it off initially after meeting on their wedding day (remember that first kiss?!) but sadly, the pair struggled with communication and connection as their journey went on. At their last MAFS dinner party, claims were thrown around the dinner table that Julia wanted to be matched with a woman. Julia denied these claims, telling the experts she couldn’t recall saying that. Julia and Grayson ultimately both opted to leave the experiment at the following Commitment Ceremony after not being able to progress in their relationship.
When Julia and Grayson reunited on the couch for the MAFS: After The Dinner Party tonight, the pair were still clashing over their experiences. Grayson claimed that Julia moved out of their apartment after just three days of filming and never really spent any time together. They were also shown some unseen footage from their last dinner party, where the pair heavily clashed, with Julia explaining to the MAFS: After The Dinner Party hosts that it was “really hard to watch”.
While the pair couldn’t make it work, not all relationships are meant to be. We’re happy that Julia has found romance elsewhere and… I’m sure the single women of Australia are happy Grayson’s still single. Who knows how long it’ll stay that way!
