Every night of Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 is a hard watch, but tonight’s dinner party was extremely brutal as we saw Juliette Fava come at her husband, Joel Moses, with a mix of what appears to be blatant lying, general degrading and telling everyone about his teddy bear.
After flat-out refusing to do the crash-course tasks with Joel and ultimately walking out on him, Juliette returned to their apartment wanting to arrive at the MAFS dinner party side-by-side (but not hand-in-hand). The charade was short-lived when Joel denied the “rumour” that he said he was “the star of the show”, and all hell broke loose from Juliette.
To rewind, in last night’s MAFS episode, we witnessed Joel say to Juliette, “You don’t see the star in me”.
While MAFS fans are confused as to why Joel didn’t clarify what he actually said, it did seem like Joel couldn’t get a word in during the MAFS dinner party even if he wanted to. Or maybe we’re just in for one hell of a reunion where they roll the tapes?
Juliette proceeded to call her husband a “liar” and “fake”, which is a huge lol considering the beer peace offering and how she replayed their conversation to the others. In between all the jabs and demanding to swap sweats with someone so she didn’t have to sit next to him, she told everyone about the teddy bear Joel sleeps with.
“You’re bringing it up to put a guy down. You’re bringing it up to make him feel small as a person,” Rachel Gilmore said to producers.
Gia Fleur only made matters worse when she said that sleeping with a teddy bear is “disgusting” and “weird”, asking Joel if he thinks it’s “manly” (and in the process, insinuating that it’s not).
“I don’t think it’s fair to attack someone’s manhood because he has a teddy,” Danny Hewitt said. “I think it’s brave to be a 30-year-old man and admit you’ve got a teddy. You could actually argue he’s more masculine than us.”

After Joel had people jump in to defend his teddy bear, Juliette claimed that she actually doesn’t have a problem with his plush toy. In fact, she said she liked the teddy more than Joel! Lovely! Then I think she called him a cunt but I can’t be too sure because it was bleeped out.
I think we can all agree here that edits or not, teddies or not, that kind of behaviour towards someone is not on. I’m sure reflection is on its way and hopefully for us all, the rolling on the tapes.
