Maya Hawke is married! Stranger Things star weds Christian Lee Hutson in star-studded nuptials attended by parents Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman

Maya Hawke is now married.

The Stranger Things star, 27, tied the knot with singer Christian Lee Hutson in New York City on Valentine’s Day, according to photos obtained by People. 

The bride’s famous parents, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, were among the celebrities in attendance. 

Hawke’s Stranger Things co-stars Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Sadie Sink, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and Charlie Heaton were among those witnessing the ceremony, according to the outlet. 

Pictures showed the happy couple taking photos on the streets of New York with their bridal party tending to the actress’s wedding dress. 

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Hawke and Hutson for comment but did not immediately hear back. 

Hawke was first romantically linked to Hutson in 2023 and she has described him as a ‘poet musical genius’ after he produced her third studio album Chaos Angel. 

She previously dated singer Spencer Barnett and The Sandman star Tom Sturridge. 

Hawke wore a sleeveless white gown with a full skirt and a train that flowed down behind her as she said ‘I do.’

At one point during the special day, the actress additionally layered the look with a white coverup that had feathery embellishments to keep her warm in the chilly weather. 

Her locks were swept up into a chic up do while a short netted veil was placed at the back of her head. 

At one point, the bride was seen strolling alongside her famous father as he assisted his daughter by briefly holding her bouquet of white flowers. 

The Before Sunrise actor dressed for the special occasion in a classic black suit as well as a black shirt underneath. 

Thurman was also glamorous in a blue dress with printed details as she supported her daughter during the big day. 

She shares Hawke and son Levon from her marriage to the former Gattaca leading man, which ended in 2005 amid rumors he had had an affair with model Jen Perzow. He later married their former nanny Ryan Shawhughes. 

The groom donned a classic black tuxedo which was paired with a white dress shirt as well as a black bowtie. 

Hawke’s bridesmaids were seen wearing white lace dresses as well as flower crowns on their heads for a final touch. 

Some of Hawke’s Stranger Things castmates such as Dryer and Wolfhard were also spotted making their way across an intersection to attend the ceremony. 

However, one of her co-stars David Harbour was notably absent from the nuptials. 

The actor was seen spending time with a mystery woman in NYC over Valentine’s Day weekend, per photos obtained by TMZ. 

Harbour – who was previously married to singer Lily Allen – strolled alongside the woman in the bustling city. The pair both kept it casual for the outing, with the woman notably sporting dark red hair. 

The star first crossed paths with Hutson years before sparking up a romance and the pair have since collaborated on music together.

He assisted with her second studio album titled Moss as well as her 2024 LP Chaos Angel. 

Hawke also appeared on a track for Hutson’s album Paradise Pop. 10 which dropped in 2024. In support of his music, the actress accompanied him on his tour last year. 

At the time of his LP release, she voiced her support for Hutson by giving him a shout out on her main Instagram page. 

She shared moments of the recording process inside a studio as well as a snap as she joined him with other collaborators.  

Hutson also shared a post to Instagram to celebrate the release of her Chaos Angel album, calling Hawke an ‘unstoppable force.’

‘This record means so much to me and working on it radically changed my life for the better in too many ways to mention here…,’ he had written at the time. 

‘Thank you to Maya, an unstoppable force and truly one of the only people I’ve ever met, with the courage to pull the deepest and darkest from within herself out into the light, to hold it there, really examine it, and choose to love it, chaos and all.’ 

In conclusion, the music artist added once again that working on the album ‘changed my life’ before sharing that ‘maybe it can change yours too.’ 

Hawke and Huston first sparked relationship speculation in 2023 when the pair were seen sharing a kiss in NYC. 

The lovebirds made their red carpet debut two years later in April 2025 at the opening night of the Broadway production John Proctor Is The Villain. 

The pair held smiles on their faces while sweetly holding hands during a brief photo session together. 

Later that same month, Hawke fueled engagement rumors when she stepped out in NYC with a ring on her left hand.  

Back in 2024, she opened up about her relationship with Hutson on the Zach Sang Show and how they had been close friends before their romance. 

‘It’s the best,’ the actress expressed during the interview.

‘They know you, they understand that you are a person and a human being who has dated other people… not just a piece of paper for them to project their image of a perfect girlfriend onto.’

Hutson is also supportive of her entertainment career in both acting and music. 

‘[Hutson] has been so encouraging to me as a musician, helping me to make the transition from a being a poet in a band to sort of being a musician,’ she previously gushed to Variety. 

Since their friendship blossomed into a romance, the music artist has occasionally made appearances on her Instagram page. 

Along with giving a shout out to his music releases, Hawke shared a snap of the pair attending a Prada runway show last year in March. 

Shortly before tying the knot with Huston on Valentine’s Day, the actress starred in the fifth and final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. 

The series came to an official end on New Year’s Eve, with Hawke becoming a part of the main cast during the third season.
