The Royal Moroccan Armed Forces recently strengthened their missile capabilities through a successful experience to launch an Extra missile in the eastern Kingdom, in a move that reflects the development of its micro -missile systems and its ability to carry out long -term strikes with high accuracy, as part of Morocco’s efforts to enhance its defensive readiness.
Arab Defense website – August 21, 2025: East of the Kingdom of Morocco witnessed a successful launch of an EXTRA missile, 306 mm, equipped with a warhead of 120 kg, and a range of up to 150 km, in a prominent move within the strengthening of Moroccan missile capabilities after receiving PULS missile launchers.
It is noteworthy that this multi -task is also capable of launching short -range Predator Hawk missiles, which feature up to 300 km and 370 mm, which greatly enhances the capabilities of defense and the strategic attack of the Royal Armed Forces.
This experience comes within the framework of Morocco’s programs to update its military capabilities, and to raise the readiness of high -precision missile systems, in a way that keeps pace with regional and international developments in the field of tactical and medium -range missiles.
The Moroccan army reveals for the first time the Israeli Puls missile launchers during a live ammunition exercise
In March 2025, the Moroccan army revealed, for the first time, the system of Israeli -made Israeli missile launchers during a live ammunition exercise held in one of the areas, in a move that is a qualitative shift in the capabilities of the Royal Moroccan artillery.
During the exercise, Extra missiles were launched by up to 150 km, as one of the missiles managed to reach its maximum range and hit the target with high accuracy, reflecting the level of great development in the accuracy of long -term strikes of the Royal Armed Forces.
This experiment comes after the Kingdom of Morocco signed a deal with the Israeli company Elbit Systems to provide the armed forces with the PULS multi -missile system, which is valued at about $ 150 million, and is expected to be implemented over three years.
The Puls system is characterized by its ability to launch a variety of missiles with different cities, some of these missiles reach 300 km, and can also be installed on multiple platforms, including wheels with wheels, which gives them great operational flexibility.
It is reported that this step comes within Morocco’s strategy to enhance its military capabilities, after previously obtaining high -movement artillery systems “Himars”, which reflects the Kingdom’s keenness to update its missile arsenal and develop its defensive readiness.
The Israeli Defense Company “Elbit Systems” has developed the new generation of missile firing systems (MLRS), which attracted the attention of several countries thanks to its flexibility and high operational efficiency.
In March 2023, the Danish government announced its acquisition of two batteries of the PULS system, including the missile and missile package, followed in April 2023 similar steps from the Dutch Ministry of Defense, which bought a number of PULS systems for an unveiled amount. In a later step, Elit announced that Morocco had obtained the system after an official visit by a delegation of the Royal Artillery headed by General de Davision, Muhammad bin Wali, to Israel from 6 to 8 February 2023, where General de Bregad Neri Horovitz, commander of the Israeli artillery weapon, received them.
Puls by two NATO and Maghreb states reflects its great competitiveness with the American -made M270 Himars system, thanks to its advanced operational advantages. These advantages are an advanced self -launch system, simplifying task management and ensuring constant and effective support in all weather conditions.
The system allows the launch of different types of ammunition from the same site and at varying distances, without the need for a special modification. The ammunition includes:
- ACCLAR 122 mm: 18 rockets of up to 35 km.
- ACCLAR 160 mm: 10 missiles with a range of up to 40 km.
- Extra: 4 missiles with up to 150 km.
- Predator Hawk: two rockets for up to 300 km.
PULS is characterized by its ability to neutralize the goals precisely in all domains, provide the maximum response and flexibility of shooting, and can also be installed on any existing or available platform, including the American -made heavy military truck, which gives customers the freedom to choose the appropriate platform according to their needs.
