Former MAGA loyalist Marjorie Taylor Greene has blasted President Trump over his decision to launch missile strikes against Iran.
U.S. and Israeli military forces began bombing targets in the Islamic Republic on Saturday, with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei being killed in the air strikes.
So far, six U.S. service members have died since the war began.
Greene unloaded on the president during an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Podcast Monday, stating, “We’ve got American troops being killed.”
“I wanna say, what is happening to the man that I supported, you supported?” Greene seethed. “The man that denounced what happened in Iraq? The man that said, ‘No more foreign wars, no more regime change?’
“Promised it on the campaign. JD Vance promised it. Tulsi Gabbard promised it. All of them promised it.”
Continuing her rant, Greene claimed that the United States was embroiled in “another f***ing war” and asked the country to have a “serious conversation” about “who in the hell are these decisions being made for.”
Megyn Kelly also criticized the conflict, particularly regarding Trump’s claim that Iran’s vast army could lay down its arms.
“Based on what?” she asked, bluntly.
During the interview, Greene questioned the president’s admitted goal of regime change, arguing that a bomb killing over “100 little girls” at an Iranian school was “not really good for Iranian women.”
“And our president is saying that the Iranian people are all of a sudden going to topple their regime,” she continued. “Well, I don’t think the Iranian people are going to be toppling their regime when they’re getting blown apart by the United States and Israel in an unprovoked attack.”
The former Georgia representative was once a staunch Trump loyalist, known for repeating conspiracy theories about the January 6 Capitol Riots and voicing support for the QAnon movement.
However, late last year, Greene split from Trump by doubling down on calling for the release of files related to the convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
In response, the president dubbed her “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown” for being one of the first Republicans to break ranks in calling for the files to be unsealed.
