New England Patriots fans split as team reveals its Super Bowl uniform for Seattle Seahawks showdown

New England Patriots fans have been left divided after their uniform for the Super Bowl was confirmed on Wednesday.
In just 10 days time, the Patriots will return to the ‘Big Game’ for the first time since 2019 when they take on the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
As anticipation for the showpiece event continues to build up, Patriots fans have been offered a sneak peak at the uniforms that they will wear on the day.
On Wednesday, former safety Devin McCourty shared a picture alongside Patriots star TreVeyon Henderson – who was wearing their Super Bowl uniform.
In the picture posted onto McCourty’s Instagram story, Henderson stood in an all-white Patriots uniform which had ‘Super Bowl LX’ and ‘USA 250’ patches on it.
Despite the fact that the white uniform serves as good omen – with 16 of the last 20 Lombardi Trophy winners wearing white – Patriots fans are split over the design.

Some New England fans had hoped the team would wear their silver-navy-red colors
Taking to X, some New England fans waxed lyrical about the uniform. One wrote: ‘Can I buy this jersey right now?’
‘The Super Bowl patch on a Pats jersey just looks so right. We’re really back,’ another said on the social media platform.
‘The SB patch actually looks good on the white uniforms,’ one user wrote.
‘Folks hating on the 250 patch like it isn’t hard af,’ another vented.
However, not everyone agreed. One Patriots fan on X wrote: ‘Just my opinion, but I’m having a hard time thinking of a worse ensemble for the big game. Could’ve had silver-navy-silver or even silver-white-silver. This is yuck’.
Attaching a mockup of a white Seahawks uniform and a navy Patriots one, another fan said: ‘What a shame. Was really hoping for this uniform match up. Just looks better aesthetically’.
Meanwhile, the ‘USA 250’ patch came under particular scrutiny among fans, with one saying: ‘that patch is so lameeee, not everything gotta be a big usa propaganda ad’.
Another wrote: ‘that 250 patch is hideous’.
Some fans were loving the kit and took to X to make their feelings known
However, others were not as satisfied and ripped into the designs for Super Bowl LX
In November, the NFL confirmed that, during 2026, the league will participate in the nationwide recognition of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
‘The NFL will continue its celebrations of this national milestone at league-wide tentpole events in 2026, including Super Bowl LX in the San Francisco Bay Area and the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh,’ they said at the time.
Despite fan frustration over the Patriots uniform, there is plenty of optimism in Foxborough after quarterback Drake Maye provided an update on his injury.
The Patriots star landed on the team’s injury report on Wednesday and, despite the fact New England did not practice on the day, he was listed as a ‘limited’ participant.
However, Maye has now delivered an update on his situation and alleviated any potential fears for New England fans.
Speaking to WEEI, Maye said: ‘I’m feeling good. I got in some extra rest. I don’t think it’s from the game.
‘I think it’s just the buildup of throwing, including training camp, 30 weeks straight of throwing and four days a week. It can add up.
‘But I got some extra rest and I’m feeling good and ready to go for the Super Bowl.’
