While the world wails over the breakup of Hollywood hotshots Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, it’s been reported that a “cocaine clause” in the couple’s prenup could see The Voice coach leave the partnership with a shit tonne of cash.

ICYMI, the entertainment world was shook to its core after it was revealed that Urban and Kidman had split after 19 years of marriage.
While whispers of the reason behind their shock split are running rampant, attention has also been turned to the so-called (and very much unverified) ‘cocaine clause’ in their pre-nup.
According to Radar Online, the pair’s “iron-clad” prenup contains a “cocaine clause” which could see Urban leaving the marriage with millions.

Per the online publication, the “cocaine clause” within the couple’s prenup notes that Urban will receive USD$600,000 (approx. AU $900,000). from Kidman every year they’re married if he stays away from drugs and alcohol.
So, if we do the math, with the pair being married for 19 years, Urban would be leaving with USD$11 million (which is almost $17 million in AUD).
The country singer has opened up about his issues with addiction in the past.
During a 2010 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Urban revealed that Kidman staged an intervention after they tied the knot, which ultimately led him to spend three months in rehab.
“She made a decision to turn around and initiate, ultimately, this intervention. It was done in such a way that the love in that room at that moment was just right. I was like, ‘Put the cuffs on, let’s go,’” he said.
Later, speaking to Rolling Stone, Urban said he was “very blessed” for Kidman to have called an intervention.
“I had a tight group of friends around me for the intervention. And off I went,” he told the publication.
Why did Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban split?
According to inside sources, the pair split due to their clashing work schedules.
“Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour,” a source claimed to Daily Mail.
“There was a lot of love between the two, and they might not divorce. They [have] been together for decades, so there is a world in which they can reconcile, but the way their pairing is now, they are not a couple.”
The source adds that Urban was the one who initiated the split before adding that Kidman was “blindsided” by his decision.
“The intimacy isn’t there, they are just going through the motions [of being married]. If this separation gets them back together, that would be amazing, but Keith had to call her out that he isn’t happy,” the source continued.
“She was blindsided, but we shall see how things go during the holiday season and his upcoming birthday [next month]. They have some work to do.”
Neither party have publicly commented on the heartbreaking news. However, Kidman has officially filed for divorce from the singer, ABC News reports.
