Nod to expansion of definition of ‘family’ for allotment of govt accommodation to service officers

Synopsis

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved an expanded definition of ‘family’ for government accommodation for service officers. This revision now includes parents and dependent siblings. Legally adopted children are also covered. The move aims to support all service officers, especially single women officers living with their parents.
