Operation Sindoor part 2 or 3 may happen again and Pok will be a part of India without war: Rajnath Singh
Singh shared with the audience that he convened a meeting the day after the Pahalgam massacre, attended by the National Security Advisor, Defence Secretary, the chiefs of the three armed forces, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), and other senior officials. When he asked the service chiefs if they were prepared to act on any decision the government might take in retaliation, they immediately affirmed.
Rajnath Singh mentioned that he met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi the following day, and during their meeting, the PM authorized the armed forces to take action based on their assessment of the situation. “We all know what happened after that,” Singh said, adding that Indian forces successfully destroyed terrorist hideouts 100 kilometers inside Pakistan. He also revealed that a senior member of the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) claimed that the family of Masood Azhar was obliterated in India’s attack.
The Defence Minister stressed that the key difference between the terrorist attacks and India’s retaliation was that India did not target individuals based on their religion, but rather for their actions.
In response to a question about PoK, Rajnath Singh asserted that it would become a part of India on its own. He pointed out that there are increasing calls within PoK for integration with India. Referring to a speech he had delivered to the Indian Army five years ago in the Kashmir Valley, Singh recalled stating that India would not need to fight for PoK’s capture, as it was already inherently a part of India. “PoK itself will say, ‘Main bhi Bharat hoon,'” he added, confidently predicting that the day when this happens is not far off.
The Defence Minister reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that Operation Sindoor could resume if the situation demands it. Modi has mentioned in numerous speeches that while Operation Sindoor has been paused, it has not been terminated, and it will remain a standard response to future terrorist attacks.
