
Hold on to your marmalade — the principal cast of the West End’s “Paddington the Musical” has been revealed.
As rehearsals begin, the show’s producers have also shared first-look photos, though a very key character is absent. “Someone rather important is missing from this announcement,” a press release reads. “Dramatic paws… We can’t wait for you to meet Paddington, but please bear with us a little longer.”
Though the appearance and casting of the titular bear remains unknown, “Paddington the Musical” will star Timi Akinyosade as Tony, Amy Booth-Steel as Lady Sloane, Tarrin Callender as Grant, Delilah Bennett-Cardy as Judy Brown, Adrian Der Gregorian as Mr. Brown, Tom Edden as Mr. Curry, Brenda Edwards as Tanya, Amy Ellen Richardson as Mrs. Brown, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt as Millicent Clyde, Teddy Kempner as Mr. Gruber and Bonnie Langford as Mrs. Bird. The role of Jonathan Brown will be played by Joseph Bramley, Leo Collon, Stevie Hare and Jasper Rowse.

“Paddington the Musical” is adapted from the beloved books by Michael Bond and subsequent Studiocanal films. Music and lyrics are by Tom Fletcher with a book by Jessica Swale and direction from Luke Sheppard. The show is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Studiocanal and Eliza Lumley Productions on behalf of Universal Music U.K. The production opens at London’s Savoy Theatre on Nov. 30, with previews starting on Nov. 1, and is currently booking through May 25, 2026.
Additional members of the show’s creative team have also been announced, including Matt Brind (musical supervisor, orchestrations and arrangements), Ellen Kane (choreographer), Tom Pye (scenic designer), Gabriella Slade (costume designer), Neil Austin (lighting designer), Gareth Owen (sound designer), Ash J Woodward (video designer and animation), Campbell Young Associates (hair, wig and makeup designer), Majid Adin (illustration and additional animation), Laura Bangay (musical director), Natalie Gallacher CDG for Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher Casting (casting director), Nick Hockaday (young persons’ casting director), Javier Marzan (physical comedy consultant) and Tobago and D-Lime (additional music consultants).
The casting of Paddington as well as the show’s bear designer and bear creative team will be announced shortly.
