
A ‘gluten-free’ protein bar has been pulled from shelves across Australia after the popular snack was found to contain the undeclared allergen.
Muscle Nation Custard Cookies and Cream 60g protein bars were stocked in boxes which wrongly branded the bars as ‘gluten free’.
Wrappings on the individual bars themselves have the correct labelling.
The bars are sold in Coles and Woolworths stores across the country.
‘Any consumers who have a gluten allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,’ Food Standards Australia New Zealand warned.
The recall only applies to products stocked in the box with a ‘gluten free’ claim.
The bars were sold at Coles and Woolworths stores in every state except the Northern Territory and online via Amazon.
The date marking on impacted products is BBD: 08/12/26 or 09/12/26.
An urgent recall have been issued for ‘gluten free’ Muscle Nation Custard Protein Bar Cookies and Cream protein bars
Customers are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
