Race-by-race preview and tips for Wagga on Friday

Selections based on a good track.

Race 1

12. Me Me was resuming from a spell and sprinted well to hit the lead only to be run down late when second behind Oui Oui Oui at Kembla Grange. She looks talented and only needs to overcome the wide alley to be a winning chance here. 3. Smart Asset is on debut and has shown talent in jumpouts and a trial. 2. Kurrajong is first up on the back of a Kembla Gramge trial and can be thereabouts. 9. Hell Of A Fox ran second at Canberra when last produced and is not out of this.
How to play it: Me Me to win.

Race 2

6. Sparklenglitter looked good winning on debut at Orange and backed that up with a runaway victory at Nowra. She’s speedy and should take plenty of running down again here. 7. Xspiritous has been placed in both runs at Goulburn since resuming from a spell and can figure in the money again. 2. Never Fails took on Highway grade at Randwick last Saturday and can improve on that ninth placing back to this company. 1. Field Marshal resumes for a new stable and has performed well fresh.
How to play it: Sparklenglitter to win.

Race 3

1. Santasia has finished second at this track and at Albury at her past two starts and she should give a good sight from the good draw. She was beaten by a handy type when placed behind One Hard Lady last time out. 5. Paparazzo resumed with a strong Benalla victory and shouldn’t be taken lightly in this company. 3. Miss Emma ran well when placed at Canberra at her latest start, while 2. Boom In the Dark was also placed at Canberra when last produced and has claims.
How to play it: Santasia each way.

Race 4

2. Dupli Kate is a talented filly with four wins to her name, including a fast-finishing triumph at this track at her last run. She has a wide alley to overcome here, but the step up to 1600m looks like it will suit, and she can maintain her impressive record. 1. Fear No Evil ran well when he led and was run down late in the Mornington Guineas. 3. Jato impressed when winning easily at Albury at her last start, and she can give cheek again, while 7. Tact won well at Kembla Grange when second up and can overcome the outside gate here and be a leading contender.
How to play it: Dupli Kate to win.
