‘Rattled’ Arsenal lose their heads amid Premier League title ‘bottling’ fears: Players spark a brawl, Arsenal Fan TV star charges at abusers and supporter blames ’36mph wind gusts’!

On paper, Arsenal’s last-minute draw against bottom-placed Wolves shouldn’t be something to be too concerned about.

After all, they will still be two points clear if Manchester City win their game in hand, and there is a clear argument that Mikel Arteta’s side contain the best squad in the Premier League.

In theory, Wednesday night’s two-point concession against a team who have been valiantly attempting to fight off the inevitable should not mean that Arsenal’s season now hits a downward slide.

But, as we have come to learn over the last few years, the psychological impact of losing two of the last three titles to Manchester City after being in a commanding position is why Wednesday night’s result encapsulates Arsenal fans’ biggest fears.

In the aftermath of the game at Molineux, which saw 19-year-old substitute Tom Edozie level the game for Wolves in the fourth minute of added time, it appears that those fears of yet another title-race capitulation proved too much for some members of the Gunners’ fanbase.

The fury on the pitch at the final whistle – when Gabriel Jesus lashed out at Wolves defender Yerson Mosquera to spark a wild melee – seemed to transfer to those who tend to occupy the stands as well.

Taiwo Ogunlabi, the viral Arsenal Fan TV star known as Ty, was seen charging towards the Wolves fans who appeared to chant ‘He’s going to cry in a minute’ in his direction

Taiwo Ogunlabi, the viral Arsenal Fan TV star known as Ty, was spotted walking down the street in Wolverhampton attempting to stave off heckling from Wolves fans, who appeared to chant ‘He’s going to cry in a minute’ in his direction.

After reminding them of their relegation-threatened position, Ty then charged towards the group of singing fans before he was dragged back by a member of his group.

Some of the harshest criticism came from AFTV presenter Lee Judges, who fumed on the channel: ‘I love Mikel but today you have now got to look at yourself. We were 2-0 up and you have to have a little bit more f***ing b****cks about yourself and go for games instead of sitting back against f***ing Wolves who are bottom of the league and relegated.

‘F***ing go for it a bit more, be a bit more positive and a little bit more f***ing creative. We were waiting and wishing for the final whistle with 10 minutes to go and we got exactly what we f***ing deserved tonight.

‘You can do whatever you want in the Champions League but it comes down to a bit of f***ing heart and a bit of mentality. (From) everybody at the f***ing football club. Fans as well. We’re f***ing s***ing ourselves and rightly so.’

Others, it seemed, were intent on directing the blame to those outside the doors of the Emirates club, and to the elements specifically.

‘I looked at the weather report and there were wind gusts up to 36 miles an hour,’ one fan said.

This particular sentiment has had the internet particularly amused and has sparked some to dig out a nine-year-old video of the aforementioned Ty blaming a 2-1 defeat against Watford on the rain.

One fan had also appeared to direct his anger earlier on Wednesday towards the club for marketing a new line of adidas training gear, and claimed Arsenal had 'believed their own hype'

‘We mustn’t forget that it’s been raining,’ he said at the time, inviting an incredulous response from AFTV presenter Robbie Lyle: ‘It’s been raining for both teams!’

Lyle was also at Molineux and shared his frustrations after the game, saying: ‘The trust that I had, the trust that a lot of fans had, that trust is now gone.’

Another fan also told AFTV: ‘I can’t stand to look at these players. They genuinely make me sick. We’re talking about probably the worst team the Premier League has ever seen (in Wolves).

‘Why am I seeing Wolves putting up more of a fight knowing they’re gone? Knowing they’re relegated. Are you crazy? That is a disgusting, disgraceful performance.

‘You’ve got fans coming here in the p***ing snow and the rain midweek. People are leaving their jobs, coming all the way to Wolverhampton hours away and that’s the performance you put up? That’s disgusting.

‘This team doesn’t deserve to win the league. If you can’t beat the worst team then you don’t deserve to win the league. You don’t deserve to say you’re champions, simple as that.’

Another fan, @DarrenArsenal1, wrote on X: ‘More angry this morning than I was last night. Norgard (sic) and White should have played, these players can’t expect to win by turning up, we have no aura to carry that.

‘The manager has turned into Terry Neill the last few weeks with some of the nonsense he’s come out with. Sadly they’ve believed their own hype. Fuming.’

That same fan had also appeared to direct his anger earlier on Wednesday towards the club for marketing a new line of adidas training gear, writing: ‘Everytime they do this. End the day fuming on prices/etc. Then they announce a new range. Its magnificent. Buy them. We all just go round in circles’.
