Reece Walsh shocks footy fans with bizarre toilet water act – as Brisbane Broncos reveal the truth behind the star’s ‘poor attempt at humour’

Reece Walsh has stunned his fans after he published a video clip on his Snapchat story, in which he is seen drinking water out of his toilet while informing his followers that the bizarre move is a new way to help improve his recovery after a match.
The 23-year-old flying fullback raised alarm bells with the video, as he was seen crouching down next to his toilet before sticking his hand into the toilet bowl, scooping out a handful of water, and then slurping the liquid.
‘They reckon there is a new form of recovery, to recover the muscles,’ Walsh is heard saying.
‘They reckon if you just… toilet water,’ he added before sticking his hand in the toilet bowl.
‘You just get a little drink.’
It has since been revealed that the bizarre video was all part of a joke.

It is understood that the bizarre act was a joke, with the Broncos later revealing that Walsh has been renovating his home and that the toilet was brand new
The Broncos star is understood to currently be completing some renovation work on his home and has recently installed the toilet, which had not previously been used.
The Broncos, meanwhile, didn’t see the funny side to Walsh’s joke and later clarified the situation.
‘Brisbane Broncos are aware of a video posted by Reece Walsh on a social media platform,’ a club spokesperson said to The Daily Telegraph.
‘The club can clarify that Walsh is currently renovating his home and has installed a brand-new toilet in a new bathroom, which remains unused.
‘The video represents a poor attempt at humour posted privately by Walsh. No one should take this video seriously or act upon the advice.’
The video was later removed by the Broncos fullback.
It is not the first time this year that the 23-year-old has shocked fans with a video posted on his social media.
Back in May, Walsh published a video clip on TikTok in which he was seen punching another man in the head, while wearing a pair of boxing gloves.

The Broncos have revealed that the toilet water act was all part of a joke, but the club didn’t see the funny side
The clip was said to be a joke and the man he was punching in the video was also said to be his best mate, with Walsh seen winding up a big right hook before knocking the man to the ground, who was seen holding his head in his hands.
The Broncos were said to be ‘privately furious’ about the bizarre video, with Walsh subsequently taking to social media to address the video.
‘Just to add context to the video recently posted – it was a joke with me (sic) best mate,’ he wrote.
‘No one was harmed, boys being boys.’
The hugely popular rising talent later apologised to members of the club’s hierarchy for his ‘lack of judgement’.
The club had later closed their investigation into the clip, while Walsh also offered to make a donation to the Black Dog Institute – a mental health charity who partnered with the Broncos during their mental health round against the Gold Coast back in June.
Walsh later said that he ‘went too far’.
‘I feel like I could choose them (actions) a lot better I guess,’ he said.
‘I feel like just having a laugh with my mate and putting it on social media, stuff like that, it’s really important to try and keep those things away (from social media). We don’t support violence.
‘(I was) just having a laugh with my mate, obviously. You know we don’t support violence and stuff like that, but obviously, it’s not a good look for myself and that was all me trying to have a laugh and a good time with friends.
‘There’s a really cool jersey coming out that we should be talking about and not letting this overshadow it.’
