Severed head and body parts wash up on Bali beach after severely wounded son of wealthy Ukrainian ‘criminal kingpin’ begged for help in haunting ransom video

A severed head and body parts have been discovered in the search for the son of a controversial Ukrainian businessman in Bali, just days after he begged his father to pay his kidnappers $10million in a disturbing ‘ransom’ video.

Igor Komarov, 28, had been on a picturesque holiday with his Ukrainian girlfriend, glamorous influencer Yesa Mishalova, on the popular holiday island.

Peppered across her Instagram were photos of the loved-up pair on Valentine’s Day, with Ms Mishalova clad in a black string bikini on a boat beside her tattooed beau.

‘F*** 14 February, love you everyday,’ she captioned the photo, which was shared to her almost 200,000 followers on Valentines Day.

But just one day later, it is understood Mr Komarov was kidnapped by a group of men while on a scooter in Jimbaran, Badung.

Officials have suggested the romantic shots of Mr Komarov and Ms Mishalova may have flagged their location to the perpetrators.

The 28-year-old is the son of Oleksandr ‘Narik’ Petrovsky, a Dnipro-based businessman – who some Ukrainian publications have called a ‘criminal’ or ‘kingpin’. The Daily Mail does not suggest any wrongdoing by Mr Petrovsky.

A haunting video then surfaced online of a tearful and battered Mr Komarov pleading for his parents’ help. He appeared to be missing a hand and had two black eyes.

‘They already chopped off some of my limbs, I have broken legs [and they] punched [my] ribcage. I’m already on meds, I already have no limbs,’ he said, through tears.

‘Mummy, Daddy, I beg you, help me please, you stole those ten million [dollars], which they ask for, return these ten million please.

‘An infection will start soon. I’m just dying… I ask you very much, this is a very serious organisation, please help me, no one can find me, neither mafiosos, no one.

‘Bring me home, what[ever] is left of me at the moment, please settle with these people, they need ten million dollars, which we stole.

‘As soon as these ten million are received in their accounts, they will immediately let me go to the place where they took me.’

There has been no confirmation from Balinese investigators regarding the identity of the kidnappers. The Daily Mail has not been able to verify the original video.

Police found a head, right leg, upper chest sections, thighs and internal organs from someone who had died three days prior.

Tattoos on the limbs have up to an 80 per cent similarity with Mr Komarov’s, Balinese media outlets have reported.

‘The bone samples of the mutilated body have been sent to Jakarta for DNA test,’ Bali Police Senior Commissioner Ariasandy.

‘We are still waiting for the DNA test result.’

It comes after GPS data from a rented minibus led investigators to a villa in Tabanan, where they suspect the ‘ransom’ video was recorded.

‘At that villa, blood traces identical to the victim’s were found. Traces were also discovered inside the car,’ Senior Commissioner Ariasandy said last week.

‘We have checked the blood we found in the car, and it is identical with the DNA of the victim’s mother.’

Detectives are also understood to have found a phone and bag belonging to Mr Komarov at the villa.

A suspect, referred to as ‘C’, was arrested on Monday after allegedly renting the car from which police found the GPS data.

But the senior commissioner said C was ‘not directly involved in the [alleged] kidnapping’.

Police said they continue to hunt for six other Ukrainian suspects – identified as RM, BK, AS, VN, SM, and DH – four of whom are believed to have fled Bali.
