Shocking love scandal that rocked country world spirals as Voice star makes sensational claims over ex

Country music star Jay Allen has furiously defended his new engagement and made a shocking claim about his ex after social media users slammed him for moving on so quickly.

The singer, 38, proposed to his new fiancé Renee Lynn over Christmas, just 10 months into their relationship.

Previously, Allen married fellow country star Kylie Morgan in 2022. The pair separated in October 2024, and she filed for divorce on Valentine’s Day this year. It was finalized in May.

Allen shared what should have been his joyous engagement news online on December 26, but some fans were quick to comment asking what had gone wrong in his past relationship to Morgan.

In response, Allen issued a shocking statement on Instagram in which he sensationally claimed that Morgan had an affair.

He alleged that he found out about it ‘in the fall of 2024’ adding that he was ‘already unhappy’ and that it ‘gave him a reason to move on.’

Allen also defended his new relationship with Lynn and its timing.

‘From the beginning, Reneé has supported my sobriety and helped heal my heart,’ he wrote. 

‘To some, 10 months may seem fast, but our engagement is our personal decision that we have diligently prayed over – not yours.’

Allen, who competed on The Voice in 2022, added that he was ‘shocked’ by the ‘judgmental comments’ regarding his engagement.

He said he reconnected with Lynn, who he had met years prior, after his divorce was finalized.

‘To some, 10 months may seem fast but our engagement is our personal decision that we have diligently prayed over – not yours,’ he added.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Morgan for comment.

Allen and Morgan finalized their divorce in May after two years of marriage.

Addressing their split online at the time, he said: ‘It’s with peace in my heart that I feel it’s time to share this… Kylie and I separated six months ago and made the decision to get divorced.

‘I’ve been on a journey of sobriety, healing, growing, leaning into God, and I’ve moved on. I will always care for Kylie and wish her the best.’

Morgan has since moved on with a man named Alek Halverson, who has a daughter from a previous relationship.

Following Allen’s post, she uploaded a snap of her and Halverson cradling his daughter, writing, ‘After years of therapy, I learned how to choose peace amongst others projected self deflecting chaos. Took me a long time and still learning #youcanthurtmeanymore.’

She also told People, ‘I will say there are many convenient holes in [Allen’s] story as well as lack of awareness of damaging trauma I had to overcome from what I went through in the relationship. 

‘And even though I have more sufficient information to address this in detail with other parts of the story and timeline that were not addressed from the public one sided statement, I will not engage in a public back-and-forth, but I will protect my name and my truth and this will be my last statement about it.’
