Earlier this month, Oakley unveiled its next chapter and transported us to the future alongside a few of the world’s leading athletes: Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown, American soccer player Trinity Rodman and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé. The new global campaign is titled Artefacts From The Future, showcasing a range of innovative high-wrap eyewear as well as the SS25 Reserve apparel collection.

PLANTARIS

At the heart of the campaign is the Plantaris. A favourite of Travis Scott (as spotted on him late last year), as well as Kidsuper and Kyle Ng. While giving us a glimpse into the future, the Plantaris also hints at the brand’s past, an evolution of Oakley’s amphibian-inspired styles that began in 1985 with the iconic Oakley Frogskin. The design of the Plantaris is a biomimicry of frog legs, mimicking the shape of a frog mid-leap. The new style also features an instantly recognisable, detachable nose cap, for a fashion statement that definitely stands out from the rest.

LATERALIS

As modelled by Mbappé in the Artifacts From The Future campaign, the Lateralis style sits within the Plantaris family and is inspired by the innovative style. Similarly to Planteris, this high-wrap headwear takes from the brand’s heritage whilst cementing itself in the year 2075 (50 years in the future).
