A couple of set restarts helped the Sea Eagles mount pressure on the South Sydney defensive line, but the try itself was too easy. It was simple catch and pass from the Sea Eagles, with Lehi Hopoate holding the ball up just long enough to draw in the final defenders, before offloading to Willett on the wing.
Willett is another of Manly’s mountain wingers at 201cm tall (Jason Saab is 199cm).
The conversion from Clayton Faulalo is picture-perfect, and Manly take the lead.
