Victoria Beckham has revealed why she was one of multiple Spice Girls who skipped Mel B’s wedding, following the latter’s star-studded nuptials to fiancé Rory McPhee on Saturday.
ICYMI, Scary Spice officially tied the knot with McPhee, a hairstylist, after six years of dating during a ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.
While multiple stars were spotted at the event, three of Mel B’s former bandmates were notably absent.
Emma Bunton, AKA Baby Spice, was the only Spice Girl to appear at the wedding, and she was joined on the guest list by fellow celebrity attendees like Cara Delevingne, Katherine Ryan and Daisy Lowe.
Revealing her absence in an Instagram Story on the wedding day, Beckham shared a heartfelt post as she was unable to attend due to being overseas.

“Congratulations [Mel B] and [McPhee] on your special day!”, Beckham wrote alongside a video of herself and the rest of the Spice Girls.
“I couldn’t be more excited for you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness! Kisses xx.”
Beckham shared a second post of herself and Mel B, writing in the caption that she is “sending you love” and saying McPhee is “a very lucky man!”.

For her part, Mel C, who was also unable to attend, likewise took to Instagram to celebrate her bandmate’s big day, but stopped short of revealing the exact reason for her absence.
“So so happy for you both and beyond gutted I couldn’t be there,” Sporty Spice wrote.
“Excited to celebrate with you really soon! Yippee!”.

While Baby and Sporty were quick to revel in the excitement, Geri Halliwell — who was also absent from the wedding — has remained noticeably silent about her bandmate’s nuptials, amid continued reports of an ongoing feud between the pair.
That feud dates back to 2019, when Halliwell hit back at Mel B’s claims that the pair once had an intimate relationship while the Spice Girls were just starting out.
Whatever the case, Bunton made up for the Spice Girls’ absence with a performance during the wedding ceremony, delivering a rendition of “Let Love Lead the Way” that reportedly brought multiple guests to tears.
I’m crying too, but only because we’ll probably never get a reunion tour that includes every Spice Girls member.
