Super Bowl ad space sells out in record time as brands snap up 30-second slots for eye-watering $8 MILLION each

The new NFL season may not be underway yet but it appears that a number of big brands are already turning their attention to the next Super Bowl.
The return of professional football – which will be kickstarted by the Cowboys and the Eagles on Thursday night – will be welcomed by fans across the country.
However, it’s not just supporters who are excited, clearly.
According to NBCUniversal, the upcoming season is the highest grossing to-date in regard to advertising and partnership revenue – as brands get in on the NFL action.
The company’s broadcast network, NBC, and their streaming platform, Peacock, will air Sunday Night Football and will also be showcasing Super Bowl LX next year.
NBC revealed that they have already sold 90 per cent of ad inventory for ‘Sunday Night Football’ – as brand interest in the NFL continues to grow.
NBC have revealed that they have sold out of ad spots for Super Bowl LX in February

Reports have suggested that 30-second ad-slots are being sold for $8million a piece
They claim that more than 150 partnerships for ‘Sunday Night Football’ programming have been signed for 2025-2026, adding nearly 40 of those partners are new.
The company also revealed that they have sold out of ad spots for Super Bowl LX in February – despite the lucrative prices for a 30-second slot.
In this year’s Super Bowl – which aired on Fox – more than 10 commercials sold for $8million a slot. Reports suggest that it’s a similar situation this year.
The company claimed that they saw high demand from entertainment, finance and alcohol brands for the 30-second ad-slots.
Peter Lazarus, executive vice president for NBC Sports & Olympics, said: ‘Coming off of the strongest sports Upfront in our company’s history, Super Bowl LX has generated extraordinary interest from brands and allowed us to sell out of our ad inventory earlier than ever’.
Meanwhile, fans could certainly be getting their money’s worth if they get tickets to the Super Bowl – with rumors that Taylor Swift may perform the halftime show.
Recently, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell offered Swift fans a glimmer of hope when pressed on the possibility of the pop sensation performing the show.

Last season, it was the Philadelphia Eagles who triumphed in the showpiece event
Odds for the 14-time Grammy Award winner, 35, to headline the NFL’s season finale soared last week when she announced her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, also 35.
And Goodell did nothing to quell the speculation when he was quizzed about a special appearance from the songstress in the wake of the tight end’s romantic proposal.
The commissioner, who has spoken glowingly of the singer and her impact on the NFL since she began dating Kelce, attempted to stay tight-lipped on the subject – but didn’t rule out the possibility.
‘We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time,’ Goodell said on the TODAY Show.
