Well, would ya look at that! Tammy Hembrow has just announced she’s partnered with Tinder as its latest brand ambassador, following on from her rumoured ex Bailey Smith. Coincidence or genius marketing? We’ll let you decide!

Taking to TikTok, the Aussie influencer wrote: “The rumours are true… I’m in my dating era, and you can find me on Tinder!”
Which “rumours” do we think she’s referring to? The rumour that she and Bailey were an item (which has apparently now fizzled out), or the rumour that the tryst was part of their Tinder partnership?
“The rumours are true, I am officially in my new dating era and yes, I’m on Tinder looking for my next crush,” she said in the vid.
“My dating life always seems to make headlines, but you’re hearing it here first, I’m officially putting myself back out there.”
She continued, “Honestly, I feel like everyone thinks dating has to be so serious, [but] it’s supposed to be fun, so I’m on Tinder to see who’s out there”.
“Hopefully I’ll meet some people who match my vibe and if it turns into something more, even better.”
She concluded the vid: “If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it! Go find your next crush on Tinder, too. See you on there!”
Dating rumours first kicked off when Bailey and Tammy were spotted holding hands on the Gold Coast in August, just weeks after the athlete announced his partnership with the dating app which had folks a lil suss on whether or not it was a legit relationship or what we call a PR relationship.
The comments section of Influencer Updates AU’s post on the whole shebang features praise for the gal securing that bag.
“If this was all a Tinder marketing campaign I am so impressed,” wrote one person.
“I’m convinced it is and I love it,” the account responded.
Another person wrote: “Get that $$ gf!”
To give you a little timeline of their relationship, Tammy and Bailey soft-launched on Instagram in late August, weeks after they were first spotted together.
From there, the story dominated the news cycle, with the relationship being discussed in both party’s solo interviews and even by the AFL CEO.
Then, by late September, it had all come to an end, with Bailey confirming Tammy’s just a mate after attending the Browlow Awards solo.
Whether or not this was one big publicity stunt is irrelevant, IMO. Chookas to Tinder for giving us a few months of entertainment and for getting two smoking hot celebs on its platform for us to sneaky stalk.
