Taylor Swift Feels ‘Violated & Exposed’ After *Those* Spicy Blake Lively Texts Leaked

A source close to Taylor Swift has revealed how she is coping after her texts to Blake Lively were unsealed and publicised during the ongoing It Ends With Us legal drama.
“It’s honestly been really hard for Taylor,” an insider told Us Weekly. “Having her texts out there made her feel exposed and kind of violated, like, something private suddenly wasn’t hers anymore. That doesn’t sit well with her.”
Swift and Lively’s messages were revealed last week as part of Lively’s years-long legal feud with Justin Baldoni stemming from the 2024 drama film.
In one text, Swift called Baldoni a “bitch”, while others saw Lively label him a “doofus” and a “clown”. Additional messages show Lively asking Swift to praise scenes in It Ends With Us in front of Baldoni, with the singer agreeing because she would “do anything” for Lively.
“You were so epically heroic today,” Lively wrote in a message to Swift after the meeting with Baldoni. “This clown is falling for all of it. But also resisting it. You are the world’s absolutely greatest friend.”
Despite their content, the source told Us Weekly that the texts do not prove Swift was involved in Lively’s legal mess. “She wasn’t trying to get involved or make anything bigger”, the insider said.
“She was just supporting Blake as a friend, in what she thought was a private moment. Now, it’s turned into this whole thing that she didn’t ask for,” they added.

A second source reiterated that Swift is “obviously not happy” with the texts going public and again separated her from Lively’s legal woes.
“Even though she was sending Blake messages and went to the apartment, she wasn’t involved in creating a master plan to take anyone down. She was being supportive of her friend and that is it. Just as any friend would,” the second source said.
A similar sentiment was shared by Swift’s rep last year after the singer was continually roped into the drama by Baldoni’s legal team.
“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film,” the rep said.
Swift has reportedly distanced herself from Lively, her former friend, as the case continues to unfold, which some of the unsealed texts touch on.
In one 2024 exchange, Lively asked Swift, “is everything OK?”.
“I felt like a bad friend lately because I was such a sad sack who only talked about my own shit for months,” Lively wrote, to which Swift replied that she felt “distanced from” her.
“In recent months I have been feeling a little bit of a shift in the way you talk to me. I feel really bad saying anything about this because your texts have been so nice in their intent but it felt like I was reading a mass corporate email sent to 200 employees,” Swift replied.

Swift was first dragged into the drama when Baldoni alleged Lively used her famous friends to exert creative control over It Ends With Us, culminating in a meeting with the trio as well as Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, at their New York City apartment.
Baldoni’s team attempted to have Swift subpoenaed as part of the case, but that bid was dismissed by the judge last September.
Lively and Baldoni’s legal case is set to go to trial in May.
