Tennessee Titans make final decision on trading the No 1 pick before Thursday’s NFL Draft

The Tennessee Titans will not be trading their No. 1 overall pick in Thursday’s NFL Draft, it has been reported.

The franchise, who brought in new general manager Mike Borgonzi in January, reportedly received interest in the pick.

However, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, they will hold onto the pick in Thursday’s draft – with all indications pointing towards them picking quarterback Cam Ward.

In regards to trading away the pick, Rapoport cited a source as saying: ‘They never opened the door.’

Borgonzi previously said in late March that ‘everything is still on the table’ regarding the Draft.

However, Ward seemingly confirmed he was headed to the Titans last week when he dropped a massive hint during a video game livestream.

Asked for his top NFL running backs, the 22-year-old casually responded with a pair of Titans stars: ‘Tony Pollard, [Tyjae] Spears.’

Then, when asked for his favorite receivers, Ward named Titans teammates Treylon Burks and Calvin Ridley.

The former Miami quarterback – who also played at Incarnate Ward and Washington State in college – will be on hand in Green Bay on Thursday for the Draft.

Other quarterbacks who will be in attendance are Ole Miss’s Jaxson Dart and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, while Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders appears to be skipping the event.

The Titans landed the No. 1 pick in this year’s Draft after going 3-14 last season.

2023 second-rounder Will Levis began the season as starter and played a total of 12 games, but struggled with turnovers as he tossed 12 interceptions and lost six fumbles.
