The Block’s Britt & Taz Spill On Their Current Friendship Status With Sonny & Alicia

The Block‘s golden couple, Britt and Taz, have revealed where they currently stand with Queensland’s Sonny and Alicia following *that* heated confrontation at the start of Alfresco and Shed Week.

Earlier this week, The Block was rocked by a heated body coproration which stemmed from Britt and Taz completing the subframe ahead of the other teams. However, Britt called out Alicia for “snide” comments, which then resulted in a blow out argument between the two teams.
Eventually, the team hugged it out. However, in the confessionals, it was apparent that their friendship — which was super strong at the start of the season — had been bruised.

“Today really made us realise, ‘Are we going to be friends with these people when we leave?’ Our friends wouldn’t do this to us,” Britt shared.
Now, with filming for the show done and dusted, Britt and Taz have reflected on their relationship with the Queensland-based rivals.
Are The Block‘s Britt and Taz still friends with Sonny and Alicia?
Speaking to Chattr, it appeared that the relationship between the competing teams is A-OK, despite their fiesty interactions.
“We’re all civil. We’re all adults,” Taz told the publication before denying that there was any beef between them and their Block competitors.
“Gone are the previous years where people just absolutely hated each other and wouldn’t be in the same room as each other, but, like, it’s none of that this year. It’s just everyone is civil, but from The Block, and even extending on, we just sort of stay in our own lane.”

While Britt and Taz have faced some fierce backlash from their fellow cast mates for getting a head start on that sweet, sweet deck, the pair admitted that Tuesday’s ambush meeting made their relationship stronger.
“That’s one of the best things to come out of The Block, just how good our relationship was during and also after, because we just could handle anything,” the pair told Chattr.
“But, we were never out to get anyone or to stitch people up. We were just there to build this bloody house, and hopefully set the kids up afterwards. So the fact that our relationship stood this test quite easily, like, we didn’t fight, we just got on with it.
“At the end of every day, it was just so good going back to just being it to us. And that follows into the post-show as well. We never attacked each other, we never called each other out, we just worked as a team, and got the job done.”
The sweet reflection of their relationship comes days after the Western Australian cops defended their competitors from online trolls, especially Han and Can, and Sonny and Alicia, who were “copping the brunt” of the hate.
“We absolutely do not condone any comments from trolls and stuff like that,” Taz told Yahoo! Lifestyle.
“We deal with mental health on a daily basis with our work, and cyberbullying and trolling is one of the very, very big excesses on mental health.”
That just shows no matter where you go — whether it be Married At First Sight or a home renovations show like The Block — the haters are gonna hate.
