A couple enjoying Coldplay’s concert in Boston had their lives turned upside down when they were featured on the kiss cam. When the pair were shown in an intimate embrace on the big screen, they quickly separated and turned away in embarrassment.
Chris Martin found the reaction very interesting, and came out with a zinger. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” the singer joked to the audience. “Holy shit, I hope we didn’t do something bad.”
After Grace (@instaagraace) uploaded a clip on TikTok, the video picked up steam and racked up over 36 million views.
It’s safe to say that if the pair were having a clandestine affair, the cat is well and truly out of the bag!!!
Online sleuths quickly tracked down the alleged identities of the couple in the video, believing the pair to be Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and CPO Kristin Cabot. It’s super messy, because Andy is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, and the couple have two children together. Yikes.
Kristin was previously married to Kenneth C Thornby, but according to court records, the pair finalised their divorce in 2022.
After people flooded Megan’s Facebook page with comments of support, she quietly made a damning change. While her profile name was originally Megan Kerrigan Byron, she dropped her last name and changed it to Meg Kerrigan.
According to The New York Post, Andy’s former colleagues are living for this scandal — much like the rest of the world.
“The text groups and chains of former employees are like… everyone’s laughing their ass off and enjoying the hell out of what happened and him getting exposed,” a source said. Andy is allegedly an “aggressive, sales-obsessed executive” in the workplace who can be “toxic”.
Astronomer CEO Andy Byron praised Kristin Cabot last year
The plot thickens, folks. Andy Byron, who welcomed Kristin Cabot to the company in November 2024, raved about her abilities in a press release. Who knew official company PR spin could be so juicy?!
“Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory. She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer,” Andy said at the time.
Kristin also added her own thoughts about Andy, saying: “I was energised in my conversations with Andy and the Astronomer leadership team about the opportunities that exist here.”
Andy Byron allegedly ‘lashed out’ at former employees
More news is coming out about the potential Coldplay concert cheater in the wake of this scandal. According to The Information, Andy was allegedly the reason multiple employees quit at his former workplace Cybereason.
“Multiple former employees said Mr. Byron would lash out against employees who disagreed with him, including threatening to fire them,” claimed a source. “You couldn’t challenge him,” claimed another.
“We started off in the right direction and were very successful, but [with] the pressure to grow employees and revenue, it was never enough to just say we were a fast-growing company. We had to be the fastest-growing,” alleged another former staffer.
Andy responded to the allegations at the time of publication, saying he made “difficult decisions” that could have “disappointed some individuals”, but refuted bad behaviour claims.
What does the company Astronomer do?
According to LinkedIn, New York-based company Astronomer “empowers data teams to bring mission-critical analytics, AI and software to life.”
Newsweek reports the company achieved “unicorn” status in 2022, after gaining a valuation of $1 billion or more.
The company has seemingly tried to cover their tracks in the wake of this scandal, with a LinkedIn post announcing Kristin’s hiring in 2024 now deleted. Andy has also removed his LinkedIn profile — you know when the drama makes it to LinkedIn, something has gone terribly, terribly wrong.
Now, when they say “all publicity is good publicity”, I don’t think this is exactly what Andy Byron and Astronomer had in mind. Let’s hope his wife gets a good divorce lawyer!
