The Kid LAROI has taken to social media to deny claims that his team was behind a flurry of shady posts directed at Tate McRae, amid rumours the pair have broken up.
The Aussie musician issued the statement on X on Saturday, in response to a user who claimed his “team is paying for slander tweets against Tate”.
Included in that post were screenshots of users who tweeted messages like “Tate fumbled LAROI” and “Tate lost The Kid LAROI bag”, in reference to speculation that the pair, who’ve been dating since January of last year, recently called it quits.
“I have NOTHING to do with this and I DO NOT co sign this behavior whatsoever,” LAROI wrote in response to the shady posts.
He said his team is “working to get these [posts] removed”.
The “STAY” singer also included a screenshot of his text messages alerting his team to the posts and asking if they knew where they originated from.
“Guys is this coming internally?”, the text reads.
“If so can we please have these taken down. Tate and I are on good terms and this just looks messy/whack.”
In response, a member of LAROI’s team said the shady posts “didn’t come from us” while another said they will “make moves on this”.

LAROI’s response comes amid broader speculation about the state of his relationship with McRae, with his mention of being “on good terms” with the pop star taken by some fans as a sign the pair — who first met through mutual friends — have broken up.
“WAIT SO YALL ACTUALLY BROKE UP,” one X user wrote, with another adding “‘good terms’? oh yea they broke up”.

Despite the rumours, neither party has officially confirmed the split, with LAROI saying as recently as last month that McRae is “my girlfriend” and describing her as “the hardest working artist I’ve ever met”.
It comes fresh off the release of LAROI’s latest track “Hot Girl Problems”, which was accompanied by a music video featuring cameos from Love Island stars Iris Kendall and Hannah Fields.
