The missiles used in the attack on Qatar were fired from the sky of Syria – Israeli media

Israel is carrying out an unprecedented attack on Doha using new “silver league” ballistic missiles launched from Syria’s airspace, with warheads weighing 200 kg for each missile, in a military and political message bearing escalating implications in the region.

Arab Defense website – September 10, 2025: Israeli media quoted an informed European source that the attack that targeted the Qatari capital, Doha, took place with advanced missiles that Israel had never used before. According to the source, the missiles were fired from the airspace of Syria through Israeli military fighters, in a move that reflects an unprecedented escalation in the nature of military operations.

The source pointed out that the missiles that were used are known as the “Silver League”, which are a ballistic missile category that launches an atmosphere of combat aircraft. The weight of the war head of each missile is about 200 kilograms, which gives it a great destructive capacity and high accuracy in hitting targets.

He added that this strike is a precedent of its kind in the record of the Israeli operations, as Tel Aviv did not enter this type of missile in any of its previous attacks, which raises questions about the military and political messages that Israel wanted to communicate through this sudden use.

The Hebrew Channel 14 reported that the Israeli Air Force penetrated the atmosphere of four Arab countries, Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia, during its way towards the Qatari capital to target what it described as sites of the leaders of the Hamas movement. The channel added that the Israeli fighters traveled nearly 1,800 km to carry out the operation, in an unprecedented step in terms of geographical term and operational audacity.

However, these allegations were met with a quick response from the Jordanian side, as a responsible military source in the Jordanian armed forces categorically denied the reports of the passage of Israeli aircraft over the Kingdom’s airspace. The source described these allegations as “false and false slanders”, stressing that the circulation of such fabricated news falls within the misleading rumors aimed at confusion of public opinion. The source called for the need to draw information from its official sources and not to be drawn into what he described as “fabricated novels.”

What fighters participated in the attack on Qatar?

According to what was circulated in military and media circles, the fighters that participated in the attack on Doha are likely to be of the F-15-I-I and the F-35 I “Adir”.

The first model is characterized by its great ability to carry heavy munitions and distant -range missiles, and it is often the preferred platform for launching ballistic missiles or huge atmosphere – such as the “Silver League”. Israel has about 25 of this type, which is the backbone of remote strikes.

As for the second model, the F-35 I “Adir”, it is a fifth generation ghost fighter, which Israel obtained from the United States, and is usually used in tasks that require a deep penetration of the opponent’s atmosphere thanks to its ghost capabilities.

Reports indicate that Israel has so far received approximately 50 out of 75 fighters.

Thus, the Israeli Air Force combines the power of armaments and the long-term F-15i aircraft, and the advanced ghost capabilities of the F-35 II, which enhances the possibility that the operation on Doha was based on the integration of the role of these two models together.

Israel has about fifty “Adyer F-35” fighters at the Nevatim Air Force Base, which is nearly 2250 km from the Qatari capital, Doha. These ghostly fighters can be equipped with additional fuel tanks that give them a range of about 2200 km, but the need for direct flying until the target is not always exist, as long -range guided missiles are able to carry out the strike from long distances with high accuracy. In practice, fighters did not fly over Doha itself, but rather fired rockets based on intelligence information from the ground, which allowed accurate injuries without directly penetrating into the Gulf states.

Thanks to its ghost nature, F-35 fighters are able to fly nearby-closely to the target area without monitoring traditional radar systems, which enhances their effectiveness in such operations. The distance between Tel Aviv and Doha, which exceeds 1,800 km, did not constitute an obstacle, as the planes managed to approach enough to use their arsenal from long -range missiles without having to pass over the airspace of Saudi Arabia or the Emirates, which would have raised major political and military crises.

Amir Avivi, a former Israeli military official who is close to the current government, summarized this strategy by saying to the newspaper “Maariv”: “We can shoot from a very far distance, and we are not forced to cross Qatar’s atmosphere in order to implement this.”

These statements clearly reflect the Israeli betting on the combination of firepower and technological superiority of F-35 fighters, which have become a major tool in carrying out accurate and long-term operations while reducing the political risks associated with violating regional airspace.

The missile article that was used in the attack on Qatar was launched from the sky of Syria – Israeli media first on the Arab defense site.
