Three sisters aged 12, 10 and 8 all vanish from Colorado home

Three sisters have mysteriously vanished from their home, sparking a frantic search in their Colorado town.

Annabelle, 12, Aurelia, 10, and Autumn, 8, were seen in surveillance footage leaving together at 3.40pm on January 29 with an unknown destination in mind.

The Aurora Police Department issued a statement asking the community to help find the missing sisters, whom they classified as ‘at risk.’

‘The girls packed backpacks and left for an unknown location,’ it said.

‘Their mother does not believe they are dressed appropriately for the weather.’

Temperatures in Aurora dipped as low as 24F on Wednesday with highs of 52F, according to AccuWeather.

With just their backpacks in tow, the girls wore no more than light jackets and sweaters.

Annabelle was described as 5ft 2in with black hair, Aurelia as 5ft 2in with pink hair and Autumn as 4ft 7in with brown hair.

All three are Hispanic.

Their disappearance prompted an outcry from the community, with fears that ICE had snatched the young girls.

Hundreds of residents interacted with posts, pleading with their neighbors to help find them.

‘Check ICE detention centers and routes, they usually check community cameras along the way,’ one commenter said.

‘I hope these girls are found safe, but I can’t help but to think that ICE has something to do with it,’ another added.

‘CHECK ICE,’ a third said. ‘They clearly don’t hesitate to take children.’

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility located in the city has almost reached its 1,530 capacity, reported Colorado Newsline.

Aurora police announced Thursday that Annabelle, Aurelia and Autumn were found safe just after midnight.

‘Our detectives will continue their investigation and will work closely with the Department of Human Services,’ officials said.
