Tom Brady’s Raiders facing potential crisis as Maxx Crosby ‘leaves training facility’ after team’s shock decision

The Las Vegas Raiders are facing a potential crisis after superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby reportedly walked out of the team facility on Friday.
According to Fox Sports, the 28-year-old was informed of the team’s decision to shut him down for their final two games of the season, against the Giants and Chiefs.
However Crosby, who has struggled with injuries throughout the year, ‘vehemently disagreed’ with the decision and reportedly walked out of the team’s training facility.
NFL Insider Ian Rapoport also reported that Crosby had been ‘fighting to play’ in the game against the Giants on Sunday, further explaining his frustrations.
The move to list Crosby as ‘out’ comes as the 2-13 Raiders prepare for a high-stakes game against the New York Giants this Sunday.
Both teams currently share the league’s worst record, and the loser of the Week 17 matchup is likely to secure the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Tom Brady’s Raiders signed Crosby to a massive three-year, $106.5 million extension in March
For Las Vegas, the first pick would allow the team – part-owned by NFL legend Tom Brady – to oversee yet another offseason rebuild.
Their first attempt, led by head coach Pete Carroll and quarterback Geno Smith, has been a disaster.
For the Giants, meanwhile, a No 1 pick would offer New York the chance to add to the building blocks of a new era.
Jaxson Dart has emerged as the quarterback of the future for the blue half of New York. Running back Cam Skattebo also proved himself a dangerous and exciting weapon on the offense before a sickening leg break ended his rookie campaign.
Meanwhile, after their recent defeat against the Texans, Crosby was asked about the Raiders potentially getting the No.1 pick in the draft and made his feelings clear.
He said to reporters: ‘Yeah, I don’t give a s*** about the pick. I don’t play for that. My job is to be the best defensive end in the world.

Crosby has been the heartbeat of the Silver and Black for seven seasons and is first in franchise history with 133 recorded tackles for loss.
He has recorded 10 sacks and 73 combined tackles this year, despite battling a persistent knee injury since October.

Brock Bowers’ season is over after the Las Vegas Raiders star was placed on injured reserve
Las Vegas signed Crosby to a massive three-year, $106.5 million extension in March, which keeps him under contract through 2029.
The news comes just days after the team confirmed that superstar tight end Brock Bowers had also been placed on season-ending injured reserve.
The 23-year-old Pro Bowler has been the primary offensive weapon for the Raiders, leading the team with 64 receptions and 680 yards.
Bowers has been battling a persistent knee injury since Week 1 and finally hit a breaking point after the loss to Houston.
