Transfer news live: Isak to Liverpool update, Arsenal hijack Spurs’ Hincapie bid, Man Utd reignite Baleba move

Como president Mirwan Suwarso speaks out on Nico Paz transfer

Como’s president has seemingly denied that Tottenham have bid for the 20-year-old winger Nico Paz, and appears to have confirmed that he will hold out for a return to Real Madrid.

Paz was developed in the Real Madrid academy and they have a buy-back clause that is reportedly worth just £8.6m next year. Real Madrid also have an option to match any offer that is made for Paz.

“It’s not true that we rejected a proposal [from Tottenham],” Suwarso told Corriere della Sera.

“Nobody makes an offer knowing that we must forward it to Real Madrid, who can match it. At some point, we feared Nico Paz could return to Real Madrid. He was raised in the Real Madrid academy and dreams of playing at the Bernabeu one day.”

Chelsea need sales to sanction moves before deadline day

Chelsea will press ahead with moves to sign Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons this week if Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku and Tyrique George all leave, according to Sky Sports.

Chelsea pair Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Anselmino are moving closer towards completing their moves to Borussia Dortmund, too.

Multiple clubs are trying to buy Jackson and Nkunku, and take George on loan. Seventeen players have left Chelsea this summer, bringing in around £270m – but more need to go for Chelsea to carry on securing their top targets.

Latest on Man City’s pursuit of Gianluigi Donnarumma

Manchester City had an afternoon to forget on Saturday with goalkeeper James Trafford making a huge error on his home debut in the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham.

City continue to be linked with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who appears to be frozen out by the European champions.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that PSG would command €40m for the Italy international, who is into the final year of his contract.

The move depends on whether City will sell Ederson to Galatasaray. The Brazilian has not started either of City’s first two games of the season.

Man Utd and Real Betis back in talks over Antony deal

Manchester United are in talks today over a deal with Real Betis for Brazilian winger Antony, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Brazilian is known to want to return to Seville and there is hope of an agreement between the two parties.

A deal was said to be difficult earlier in the window due to Betis’ finances, with United wanting a permanent sale rather than a loan, which was deemed difficult due to their €30m valuation.

It is not known if the new talks are regarding a loan, an option or obligation to buy or a permanent sale.

Piero Hincapie gives green light to Arsenal move

Piero Hincapie has agreed personal terms with Arsenal and wants to move to the Gunners before next week’s deadline, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano adds that Arsenal will approach Leverkusen with a loan offer with obligation to buy – and says that Porto are leading contenders to sign Jakub Kiwior.

That would create the space Arsenal need to sign Hincapie and add another left-sided defender to the squad.
