Travis Kelce Gushes About Taylor Swift In First Comments Since Engagement: ‘Really Fun’
Travis Kelce has opened up for the first time since his proposal to Taylor Swift overtook our every waking moment, saying the post-engagement buzz has been “really fun”.

I doubt you missed it, but on the off chance you went off-grid: the NFL player and pop star announced their engagement on social media last month after two years of dating.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift wrote alongside snaps of the pair’s garden-bound engagement.
In the wake of the news, fans poured over Swift’s new rock as her soon-to-be father-in-law weighed in and rumours of *that* Blake Lively feud hit new heights.
Now, Kelce himself has reacted to the news, sharing his giddiness in a clip from an episode of his podcast New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason.
“I appreciate everybody that reached out and sent something, and all the posts, all the excitement that’s been going on,” Kelce said.
In an extra heartwarming moment, Kelce said he has enjoyed “telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with”, adding that it’s “cool” to officially introduce Swift as his fiancée — which he did for the for the first time with a few of his Kansas City Chiefs teammates.
As for everyone now planning to replicate the pair’s fairytale moment (albeit with a much cheaper ring), Kelce said fans should “know your gal” while planning your engagements.
“You can’t let how somebody else does it make you feel like you gotta do it that way,” he explained.
“You might be able to get some ideas from how other people did it. It might get the creative juices flowing. But know your partner, know who you’re doing it for. Everything else will be beautiful.”
So he’s talked the talk, but when will he walk the walk (down the aisle)? Well, details of the pair’s wedding date remain unknown, but we can safely assume at least one star will be absent when the white carpet inevitably rolls out.
It’s also worth mentioning that the engagement came just weeks after Swift announced her upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl, so Swifties can rest assured she’ll be dominating headlines for some time to come.
Heck, they may even end up with a few songs for their own wedding when the record drops in October!
