Travis Kelce risks Taylor Swift fury by snapping her chair during podcast recording: ‘She is going to kill me’

Travis Kelce may be doing some furniture shopping this weekend after comically snapping one of Taylor Swift’s chairs.
In a teaser clip for Wednesday’s episode of New Heights, Kelce and his brother Jason are laughing about something when the Kansas City Chiefs star leans back.
The chair snaps under 6ft 5 Kelce’s 250lbs weight and he falls back helpless with his arms open wide trying to grab onto anything to steady himself.
The unfortunate mishap led to Jason saying ‘oh s***’ before both brothers burst into hysterics and it took a while for them to compose themselves.
When they eventually did, Jason asked his younger brother: ‘Are you alright, Trav?’
He replied: ‘We’re good. F***. Taylor’s gonna kill me.’

It remains unclear what caused the hysterical outburst but all will become clear when the episode, featuring Patriots legend Julian Edelman and Seahawks star Cooper Kupp ahead of the Super Bowl, is released.
Kelce and Swift are currently enjoying some downtime together after a hectic 2025 that saw them get engaged.
In the last 12 months, Kelce has both played in a Super Bowl and missed the playoffs entirely with the Chiefs.
Recording New Heights with Jason on Tuesday is a far cry from what Kelce was doing last February when he and the Chiefs were trying to win a third-straight Super Bowl.
But the Chiefs were blown away by the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans, setting in motion more disappointment for the Chiefs who came crashing back down to reality this season.
He is now weighing up his NFL future but Daily Mail reported last month that Kelce is set to put retirement on hold again and return to the field for one final season.
It’s understood the return of popular offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy to Arrowhead Stadium has fueled the 36-year-old’s excitement to lace up his cleats again.
If Kelce is to return to the Chiefs he will need to sign a new contract, given his current one expires at the end of this season.

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt has also admitted he ‘certainly hopes’ his star tight end will play next season but will not rush him into making a decision.
He told Good Morning Football on January 27: ‘As an organization we certainly hope that he will come back.
‘He had another great year, maybe not on par with where he was four or five years ago but he still had over 800 yards and really was one of the leaders on the offensive side of the ball.
‘There’s no doubt in my mind that he can still play. We’re trying to be respectful and let him have the time that he needs to make a decision. He has a busy offseason coming up with his engagement and marriage but we certainly hope he’ll be back.’
