Travis Kelce’s dramatic transformation of his $6M ‘bro pad’ for Taylor Swift proposal… as he is ordered to fix DANGEROUS defect

He transformed his Kansas mansion into a floral wonderland fit for his pop princess – but Travis Kelce appears to have dropped the ball when it comes to his bathrooms.
Smitten Travis pulled off the ultimate romantic engagement photo shoot by turning his backyard into an oasis of pink and white blooms to mark his proposal to Taylor Swift this week.
However, the three-time Super Bowl champ has run into a less glamorous snag indoors after a building inspector flagged his newly remodeled restrooms as a possible fire hazard, the Daily Mail can reveal.
Travis, 35, hired a contractor in May to spruce up his primary bathroom, office, guest bathroom and mudroom, according to paperwork lodged with the City of Leawood.
But the $200,000 project was deemed ‘unsatisfactory’ by building inspector Jodi Malone because of ‘firestop plate penetrations’ and a ‘fire block stud wall cavity and drop ceiling over vanity’.
Malone didn’t respond to requests for comment but the defects likely relate to safety measures preventing the spread of fire and smoke through walls and ceilings.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on Tuesday, sharing photos of a romantic proposal shoot later revealed to have taken place at the NFL tight end’s home
But Daily Mail can reveal Kelce is facing building code violations for the bathrooms at his mansion in Leawood, Kansas, after an inspector flagged his remodeled restrooms as a possible fire hazard
Cavities, holes, and other ‘penetrations’ for pipes and wiring typically must be sealed with plates, collars or fire-resistant material to comply with building code.
Travis and his contractor have until November 11 to fix the problem and apply for another inspection, according to city permit records.
It should be a relatively simple fix for the NFL hunk who is juggling the demands of preseason training with preparing a home fit for the world’s biggest pop star.
Travis’s $6million, 17,000 sq ft crib is in an exclusive gated community 20 miles south of Kansas City and it’s where he and Bad Blood singer Taylor, 35, spend much of their time together.
He snapped up the secluded, tree-lined estate in November 2023 and has already put his own stamp on it by excavating the basement to make an underground den for an indoor golf simulator. The property also boasts a tennis court, pool and miniature golf course.
And, of course, it was the backdrop for a stunning set of images Travis and Taylor unveiled Tuesday to announce their engagement after a two-year romance.
The Daily Mail was able to confirm this after an unearthed property listing showed photos of the football star’s backyard.

The lovebirds were surrounded by pink, white and red flowers for the dreamy shoot, with Travis getting down on bended knee under an ornate, floral arch.
Taylor’s global fanbase – some 281 million Instagram followers – were also treated to a glimpse of her jaw-dropping engagement ring with a huge custom cut diamond.
Travis and Taylor, also 35, went public with their relationship in September 2023 when she accompanied his mother Donna to a Kansas City Chiefs game.
Taylor supported his run to two Super Bowls while the star athlete travelled the world to support her wildly successful Eras tour.
Close friend and fellow Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes was quick to congratulate the power couple on their engagement, sharing Taylor’s post on Instagram with three heart emojis.

The engagement news comes almost two weeks after Taylor announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on the New Heights podcast hosted by Travis and his brother Jason.
Travis admitted he had the hots for Taylor as far back as July 2023 when he went to one of her concerts and tried to give her a friendship bracelet.
Mimicking his lovestruck antics, Taylor told the show: ‘I wanna date you! Do you wanna go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet. Do you wanna date me?’
She added: ‘I was like, if this guy isn’t crazy – which is a big if – this is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.’
Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason asked Taylor how she figured out his brother wasn’t crazy.
‘He is crazy, Jason. He’s the good kind of crazy,’ she laughed.
