Donald Trump is facing a furious backlash from lawmakers over the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case after the former prince Andrew’s arrest by British police.
MAGA rebel Marjorie Taylor Greene ripped the administration for failing to make any arrests as cops detained the King’s brother on Thursday over allegations of sharing confidential trade information with the pedophile.
‘The UK has arrested Andrew because of the Epstein files and over here the President signed an EO protecting cancer causing Glyphosate in our foods and we have zero Epstein related arrest and investigations since release of the files,’ Taylor Greene posted on X, referring to the president’s recent health policy announcements.
‘We are on the verge of going to war against Iran. That’s the current state of MAGA,’ she added as America’s largest force since the Iraq War masses in the Middle East.
Congressional Democrats are also doubling down on their calls for American authorities to take harsher action against the men implicated in the Epstein scandal following Thursday’s arrest of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
During a Thursday morning news hit on CNN, Congressman Stephen Lynch, a Massachusetts Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, which has led the charge on the Epstein files investigation, said that President Donald Trump should be worried.’
Representative Melanie Stansbury, a New Mexico Democrat, shared on X, ‘If a Prince can be held accountable, so can a President.’
Lynch also quipped during his CNN segment that US authorities are ‘doing nothing.’

Shortly after Andrew was stripped of his royal title last year, Lynch called for him to testify before Congress over the Epstein files during an October 2025 interview on BBC’s Newsnight.
Democrats are not the only ones who have noted that UK authorities appear to be taking the revelations from the release of the Epstein files more seriously.
Republican Congressman Thomas Massie, who, along with Democrat Ro Khanna and former Representative Taylor Greene spearheaded efforts to release the Epstein files, shared on X Thursday that Andrew’s arrest was ‘the metric [he] established for success of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.’
‘Now we need JUSTICE in the United States. It’s time for @AGPamBondi and @FBIDirectorKash to act!’ Massie added.
The Justice Department last week finally released all of the remaining Epstein documents, but since then there has been no legal action taken against any of his alleged co-conspirators in America.
In the UK the fallout has been dramatic with Andrew arrested on his 66th birthday and firings at the top level of the British government over Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s hiring of Epstein friend Lord Peter Mandelson as the US Ambassador.
For the past ten days, detectives have been probing Andrew’s conduct as a trade envoy for the UK after emails in the Epstein Files suggested he shared confidential information with his pedophile friend, including reports of his official visits and potential investment opportunities.
