Donald Trump snapped at a news reporter who questioned him on the potential deployment of US troops to Iran.
More than 2,000 marines are being sent to the Middle East aboard three warships, according to various outlets including ABC and the Wall Street Journal, which cited several US officials.
Speaking to the press on Air Force One on Sunday (15 March), the US president lashed out at a reporter who challenged him on the deployment. On 6 March, Mr Trump said that launching a ground invasion of Tehran would be a “waste of time”.
“I don’t talk to people like you about that,” Mr Trump snapped on Sunday. “Why would I tell you I’m sending or not sending? Who would answer a question like that?”
