Donald Trump posted surveillance footage showing apparent strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island, the country’s main oil hub.
The US president said on Friday (13 March) that military targets were destroyed, threatening to strike its oil infrastructure if Tehran continues attacks that have halted most ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump did not provide an accompanying caption for the video posted on Truth Social.
The location was verified as Kharg Island by Reuters, who matched the airport runway, road layout, buildings, and vegetation to satellite imagery of the area. The date of the footage could not be verified.
Kharg Island is the export terminal for 90 per cent of Iran’s oil shipments.
