Mason was a key pass protector in New England’s Super Bowl LI and Super Bowl LIII victories
He was selected by New England with the 131st pick in the fourth-round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Georgia Tech.
Mason became a consistent starter throughout his tenure in Foxborough from 2015 to 2021.
In that time, he was on the field for the Patriots’ historic comeback overtime victory in Super Bowl LI over the Atlanta Falcons.
After losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII the following season, he would lift the Lombardi Trophy again after defeating the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII in the 2018 season.
Mason was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022 in exchange for a fifth-round pick – re-uniting him with Brady for what would ultimately be the quarterback’s final season.
The 31-year-old most recently played two seasons for the Houston Texans before being cut by the team in March. He has not yet signed with a new team.
