Legendary boxing cutman Frank Hopkins has sadly passed away with Tyson Fury and other renowned names of the sport paying their respects.
Hopkins, known to many as Frankie, cornered Fury and a number of other successful British fighters during his long career.
He died on Friday at the age of 78 and will be fondly remembered as ‘one of boxing’s good guys’.
The tributes came flooding in on social media after the news was announced with Fury leading the way.
Former world champion Fury posted a video on his Instagram story, saying: ‘just like to say a special rest in peace to Frank Hopkins, my old cutman.
‘What he didn’t know about cuts in boxing, nobody knew. He forgot more then most men knew about cuts.

‘He was one of the best and greatest in the game and it was a pleasure to have him as part of my team towards the end of my career.
‘All the best, Frank. God bless you and may God make you a good bed in heaven. All the best, see you soon brother.’
Promoter Eddie Hearn also posted, writing: ‘lovely man! Rest in peace Frank.’
Fellow promoter Frank Warren also took to X, saying : ‘everyone at Queensberry are saddened to learn of the passing of Frank Hopkins.
‘A top man who worked with many of our fighters across the years. Condolences to his family and friends for their loss. Rest in Peace Frank.’
Hopkins’ career saw him travel across the world for over 40 world title bouts.
He was in Fury’s corner for his first defeat to Oleksandr Usyk last year but not the rematch in December.
