UNC fans reveal how they really feel about Bill Belichick amid Jordon Hudson relationship controversy

Bill Belichick has gotten some negative press recently, but it doesn’t seem to have affected UNC students’ enthusiasm for the upcoming football season and their new head coach.

Belichick, 73, signed a five-year, $50million contract with the Tar Heels earlier this year following a legendary run in the NFL with the Patriots.

And according to the school’s athletic director, Bubba Cunningham, UNC has sold out its allotment of 20,000 season tickets for the 2025 college season.

Cunningham told Axios that UNC raised ticket prices by 25 percent on average.

He also pointed out that the school’s share of ACC revenue would likely increase amid the school’s primetime matchups, such as the season opener against TCU on ESPN.

The development comes amid huge scrutiny of Belichick’s relationship with Jordon Hudson, 24.

The criticism hit a fever pitch recently following Belichick’s now-infamous interview with CBS, when Hudson  – sitting off-camera – interrupted to shut down questions about how they met.

Interviewer Tony Dokoupil described her as a ‘constant presence’ throughout the session, and TMZ later reported that she at one point delayed filming by 30 minutes after storming off.

Belichick has heavily involved Hudson in his professional life, as an email previously publicized by The Assembly showed that Belichick asked for her to be copied on all emails sent to him by UNC staffers.

It also emerged that her desire to be involved in the iconic HBO ‘Hard Knocks’ series helped curtail a potential version of the show focused on UNC.

However, it now appears that Hudson’s time as Belichick’s media advisor has come to an end.

UNC recently hired former Bears PR director Brandon Faber to calm the scrutiny around the coach, and he was seen with the eight-time Super Bowl winner as he left an interview with Good Morning America last week.

However, while UNC fans don’t seem to be bothered by Belichick’s recent controversies, Hudson has reportedly been ‘iced out’ by the socialites of Nantucket, where Belichick owns multiple homes.

Hudson has supposedly been trying to work her way into the social and charity scenes on the exclusive island that sits just off the coast in Massachusetts.

According to Page Six, Belichick’s ex Linda Holliday is a major player in those circles and, as a result, locals are shunning Hudson’s attempts to muscle in.

‘She’s trying to claim her stake in the social circle. That is Linda’s thing,’ a source said.

‘People are turned off by her,’ another source added. ‘She’s kind of young – who knows what happened when Linda was still [dating Belichick]. Did Jordan come into the picture?’
