Vanessa Trump makes first post since boyfriend Tiger Woods’ car crash as she shares photo of daughter Kai

Vanessa Trump posted two Instagram stories referencing her teenage daughter Kai on Saturday, rather than comment on boyfriend Tiger Woods’ latest car crash and arrest.

The golf icon, 50, was arrested on Friday afternoon after he tried to overtake a truck and trailer at high speed on a residential Jupiter Island road, clipping the back of the vehicle and tipping his own SUV onto its side.

After clambering out of the passenger side window of his vehicle, Woods refused to give a urine sample to cops and was arrested for DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

Cops released Woods’ remarkable mugshot to the public shortly after 10pm, with his eyes puffy and bloodshot in the image. An hour later, he was bonded out and driven away from the jail, as fans and reporters swarmed the car for a glimpse of him. 

In photos taken by a Daily Mail photographer, he could be seen looking stony-faced with his lips pursed, before momentarily glancing out of the passenger side window at the gathered masses and disappearing into the night. 

But Woods’ girlfriend Vanessa, the former daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, is yet to comment on the crash. Instead, she took to social media on Saturday to post about daughter Kai’s trip to the Miami Open tennis tournament.

In the posts shared to Vanessa’s story, Kai can be seen with world No. 1 women’s player Aryna Sabalenka.

Another picture showed the eldest grandchild of president Trump with Sabalenka’s coach Jason Stacy, as well as youth golf pro Allan Kournikova.

It’s unclear whether Vanessa was with her daughter at the tennis tournament but the pictures were first posted around 2pm on Friday, roughly the same time that Woods is believed to have crashed. 

Kai, 17, was then pictured in the stands during the women’s final between Sabalenka and America’s Coco Gauff on Saturday afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium.

In a second post to her Instagram story on Saturday, Vanessa shared a video of Kai answering a fan’s question during an ‘Ask Me Anything’ she was hosting.

Woods has been dating Vanessa for over a year – their relationship was first reported by the Daily Mail in March 2025 after they started seeing each other around Thanksgiving 2024. 

Earlier this week, both Kai and Vanessa were pictured at the TGL finals in Palm Beach to watch Woods make his long-awaited return to golf. Woods and Vanessa were pictured exchanging a kiss.

At the scene of Friday’s accident, Woods passed a breathalyzer test after showing ‘triple zeros’, but then refused to give a urine sample twice, once on the roadside and then again at the jail.

‘He is cooperative, but he was not trying to incriminate himself, so he was careful in what he said and didn’t say,’ Sheriff John Budensiek explained. ‘When it came time again for the test, the urine test at the jail, he stopped that.

‘On scene, we had [Drug Recognition] experts evaluating him and they believed from on scene that he was not impaired with alcohol, but they believe it was some type of medication or drug. And again, at the jail he cooperated with the breathalyzer, and then the urine [test] he wanted no part in.

‘He has a right to refuse that test. There is a statute that he will be charged with for refusing to take that test, but we will never get definitive results as to what he was impaired on at the time of the crash.’

It marked the latest in a string of DUI arrests and car crashes for Woods.    

Woods was involved in a similar crash in 2021 in California, which shattered his right leg after he was trapped under the vehicle. He needed multiple surgeries in order to recover from his injuries. 

He was also previously pictured in a police mugshot in 2017 after being arrested for his first DUI, when police found him slumped in his car in Florida with five drugs in his system, including two painkillers.
