As rumours of a feud continue to swirl the famous family, an insider has spilled on exactly what went down during the 2022 wedding of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz.
ICYMI, the (extremely attractive) power officially tied the knot over three years ago, but as speculation of a rift between Nicola and Victoria and David Beckham continues to dominate headlines, the events of the wedding have reentered the conversation.
That’s courtesy of an inside source, who this week claimed it was Victoria who caused quite the stir at her son’s Palm Beach ceremony way back when.
According to an insider close to the newlyweds (per Page Six), the former Spice Girl made for an awkward moment when Marc Anthony, a singer and friend of the Beckham family, got on stage to perform at the ceremony.
“Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage”, the insider claimed.
While that all seems straightforward enough, things apparently got tense when, instead of spotlighting the bride, Anthony gave a moment for Victoria. Yikes.
“Then he announced, ‘the most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up…Victoria Beckham!’,” the source claimed.
As far as wedding no-nos go, that’s a stunt up there with Kristin Wiig’s Spanish-flecked speech in Bridesmaids.
According to the source, Anthony’s introduction of Victoria instead of Nicola was witnessed by “everyone in the room”, causing “palpable” shock and leading Peltz to “run from the room crying”.
It’s her wedding and she’ll cry if she wants to, I guess?
“Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose, when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola,” the source added.
“What she couldn’t understand was, why.”
Whatever the case, reports of the wedding stunt will do little to quell the rumoured tensions between the newlyweds and the Beckhams.
While there’s a bunch of reports as to the reason for the feud, many have claimed the beef stems from Victoria Beckham and Nicola, who apparently went head-to-head over the planning of the star-studded wedding.
Add in the fact that Peltz and Brooklyn skipped David’s 50th birthday earlier this month and you’ve got a family feud that might just call for Mr. Grant Denyer himself.
