Watch the moment a man is ko’d by a chair during wild strip club brawl

Shocking footage has emerged of the moment a man was knocked out by a flying chair outside a Melbourne strip club on Friday night as a violent brawl spilled onto the street.

The man, who has not yet been identified, had been inside the Bar 20 club with his friend before they were thrown out by security at around 9.20pm.

CCTV footage aired by 7News showed the man being pushed to the ground by security, before his friend tried to grab a bollard, swinging it wildly at a security guard.

The friend was then seen grabbing a chair from a nearby restaurant and hurling it over his head, suspected to be aimed at the security guards nearby.

However, the chair hits his friend in the head instead, slamming him to the ground.

It’s understood the man ‘recovered reasonably quickly’ and got up and walked and away, while his friend held his head in his hands in regret.

It’s believed no reports were made to police or to ambulance services.

Footage of the incident has since gone viral with many slamming the actions of the security guards who could later be seen laughing at the antics of the pair.

‘I would have preferred if security had checked on the bloke who copped a chair to the scone rather than laugh at someone who’s been injured. Not very professional,’ one person said on X.

Another added: ‘That security guard laughing, you’re a scumbag, whether he deserved it or not, that could have killed him. Yes it’s his mate that clocked him but you laughing reveals everything about your character.’

However others said the security’s reaction was ‘priceless.’

‘Was gonna say something about the security laughing then it showed the guy’s mate was the one who threw the chair and I mean how could you not laugh,’ one person said.

Another person said: ‘When people say Australians have no culture I’m going to show them this.’

‘I’d do the same if my mate got us kicked out. But seriously, that looked bad. Lucky he walked away,’ another said.

Daily Mail contacted Victoria Police for comment.
